Blood Pressure Screening - Parish Health Ministry will offer blood pressure screenings for adults after all Masses next weekend, October 5th & 6th in the Seton Ministry Room.

Respect Life Sunday! - Christ our HOPEHOPEHOPEHOPE in every season of LIFELIFELIFELIFE. Next weekend October 5th & 6th we will celebrate Respect Life Sunday. Join Catholics nationwide in celebrating the kickoff of Respect Life Month. Find the reflection on this year’s theme, "Christ Our Hope: In Every Season of Life," by visiting respect-life.org/reflection.

Infant Baptism Requirements - Baptism instruction is required for all first time parents. It is normally conducted following an 11:00 Mass in March, June, August, October, and December. This one time session lasts approximately one and a half hours. Both parents are requested to attend. Next class is October 13th. Bulletin Deadline - Due to the publisher deadline for the Columbus Day holiday, items to be published in the October 20th bulletin need to be emailed to the parish office by Wednesday, October 9th. Please excuse our dust and disruption over the

next few weeks as we paint the interior of our church.

A couple of things to remember:

• 8am weekday morning masses will be celebrated in the Gathering Space. Use only the main glass doors to enter.

• All WEEKEND MASSES will be held IN CHURCH. However, your regular seat may not be available. All church entrances can be used for weekend masses unless marked with a stop sign.

If you, or someone you know, has expressed interest in the Catholic Church, we invite you to call the parish office at 513-941-3661 x 12, and speak to Marti Barnes, Pastoral Associate, about our Christian Initiation proc-ess, known as the RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults). We have begun weekly meetings and welcome new faces!

St. Joseph Prayer Chain Ministry

PRAYER IS POWERFUL !!!

The St. Joseph Prayer Chain began in November of 2004 with Sr. Rita Hawk, Ruth Kern & about 8 other parishioners. This Ministry has approximately 30 individuals praying for others who are ill or need prayers for something special such as: surgery, care giving, death, results from tests, addictions, treatments, special intentions, and many other reasons. The Prayer Chain currently prays for over 700 individuals averaging approximately 60 new names a year. If you are interested in joining this ministry to pray for others, please contact Elaine Mack at 941-3499.

Or, If you know of someone who needs or wants to be on the Prayer Chain, someone who needs prayers, please have a family member call Elaine at 941-3499.

Attention Veterans Veterans Day is November 11th. During the month of October we will be collecting names of St. Joseph’s living veterans. In the Gathering Space you will find a book where we are asking all veterans to sign in with their name and branch of the service.

“KNIGHT AT THE RACES” OCTOBER 5th - The Knights of Columbus Most Holy Rosary Assembly will hold their 30th annual fundraiser on Saturday, October 5th at the Woodlands Reception Center, 9680 Cilley Road in Cleves. The mission of the 5K is to further our support for Catholic Vocations by increasing awareness as well as actively fulfilling the call for financial support that area Seminarians and Lay Peo-ple count on us for. Twenty-Sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time The sin of the rich man in today’s parable was not that he was rich, but that he failed to share his wealth with the beggar at his gate. He knew Lazarus, perhaps walked by him every time he came in or out, but did nothing to relieve his suffering. Is there a Lazarus in my life? What am I doing to help?

St. Joseph’s Garden The St. Joseph Garden group will be working in the gardens on Monday, September 30th. We will meet between 8:30 and 9:00am. Everyone is welcome. Also, thank you to all the volunteers who worked so hard on September 16th spreading mulch around the Stations of the Cross. The area looks beautiful and your hard work is very much appreciated.
