Dear friends of Jesus and Brendan,

What a wonderful celebration of the Feast of Corpus Christi! I am grateful for the joyful celebration of the Eucharist at 11:00 a.m. followed by such a beautiful Eucharistic Procession and Benedictions. The altars prepared by different members of the Spanish Mass community and by the choir were beautiful. The canopy over the main entrance was amazing! All generations and cultures were well represented. It is so important to give public witness to our faith not only in our worship but in the way we live in this diverse community. I am so grateful to all who worked so hard to prepare the day and to all who participated! This weekend we bid a fond farewell to Sarah Jane! I am grateful for her time here and for her hard work with the choirs... We wish her well in all her future endeavors and hope she will have many opportunities to share her love for church music. We will have a substitute organist for the next two weeks. I hope we will be able to find a competent and joyfilled Music Director soon... Please pray hard! Registration has begun for Faith Formation classes in September. Remember all of our children and young people should be registered and participating in Faith Formation classes from the 1st grade through 8th grade inclusive. So many of our children have disappeared from Mass since classes ended... I am very disappointed. Sunday Mass is a privilege, a responsibility, and a great opportunity every Sunday of our lives. I hope many more of you will make time for Eucharistic Adoration throughout the summer months. Jesus is present 24/7 and waiting for you. Let's keep him company when the church is open. We can't imagine the graces we receive in adoration. I hope you have been watching the collection amounts recently. We are barely making it even with the school rent... I pray every day that everyone will do their fair share as a sign of love and gratitude to God and out of love for the parish. Let's pray for all of our graduates as they prepare for new beginnings and for all students and teachers as summer begins.

    Peace and blessings,

    Father Peter

Once again, we would like to thank all those who made generous gifts or pledges to the Generations of Faith Campaign last spring. Together we far exceeded our

assigned goal. Your generosity will allow us to accomplish much needed work in and around the parish buildings. Please be faithful in paying off your pledges. We just received the first disbursement from the Generations of Faith fund. The money has been used for the new fence and will be used to mark the parking spaces and other necessary repairs. We encourage you to keep current with your payments as we hope to accomplish more of our planned projects in the not too distant future.

    Make a Holy Hour.

    ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT

We are still in need of more volunteers to cover each hour as well as for many people to stop in and visit with Jesus during Adoration time. We encourage you to come a few minutes early to sign the Adoration book inside the Chapel entrance.

Saint Brendan Voca on Commi ee! Bishop DiMarzio has proclaimed a special YEAR OF VOCATIONS beginning on August 4th, the Feast of Saint John Vianney.

We need to form a team willing to encourage daily prayer for voca ons, make materi-als available and encourage our young people to ask themselves if they think God might be calling them to a life of service in the church.

Would you like to help start this commi ee here at Saint Brendan? Please call Father Peter as soon as possible. We would like to begin mee ng during May.

God never stops calling, we need to learn to listen…

¡NO TENGAN MIEDO! No tenemos nada y a nadie a quien temer.
