Your child’s stage of

development

• Initial reading or decoding (7-8 yrs): “glued to

print”, read independently, sound out words one at a time and decode them slowly, carefully and

accurately. Little room for deeper comprehension.

• Confirmation and fluency (8-9 yrs): more confident in decoding. Reads more swiftly and fluently, more energy for greater comprehension

• School rules are implemented with the well-being of your child in mind

• Some examples of school rules

Pupils who are Singapore Citizens must sing the National Anthem and take the Pledge. Pupils will take the pledge with the right fist placed over the heart. The National Anthem, Pledge and School Song are sung/ recited at attention in standing position.

When in school, pupils are to wear the prescribed school uniform.

No form of jewelry is allowed to be worn. Girls are allowed to wear only one pair of ear rings or studs. No dangling earrings are allowed.
