The time we have in class is important. Make the most of it.

Class time is not the time to catch up, flirt, make weekend plans, etc. It is time to work. If we work hard, there could be a bit of time where you can visit occasionally.

HOMEWORK

Homework is important. I will never give you homework just for the sake of giving you work. It will ALWAYS have a purpose. I don’t give a lot of homework, so when I do, I expect you to do it! I will be available via Google Classroom and Twitter to help you with any questions you have.

Get to bed at night. There is no naptime in high school!

Grammar, spelling,and punctuation are important

Why? First of all, you sound like an intelligent

human being when you write and speak correctly. This is important in life as many employers do not want someone who appears uneducated. This is true even if you only aspire to work the drive through window at McDonalds. Many employers will discard your resume if it contains multiple grammar and spelling errors. And most importantly for you right now, it is tested on the EOC.

Don’t make me give you this face!

And…

Even though we have to focus on the dreaded STAAR test and practice writing in the “box”, don’t let your thinking be confined to the “box”!
