• Are completed by a single individual • Consist of two short role plays and a 100

question multiple choice test• Allow participants to review a business

situation and interact with a judge • students will be given a short scenario and

asked to present their ideas during a professional interview

• Require teams of two to complete an in-depth case study analysis• teams are usually given 30 minutes

to prepare their ideas• ideas are presented to a judge

during a 15 minute interview

• A 100 question multiple choice test is required for each team member• individual scores are averaged to produce a final

• 1. Decide which events you are interested in!• Review list in the presentation• Goto www.deca.org. Scroll to High School ->

Scroll to Competitive Events. Look at various events.

• 2. Fill out google form (make sure and be on Warriordeca@gmail.com list )

• 3. Study Exam associated with your event

• 4. Become familiar with the performance indicators for event (see deca.org)

• 5. Read and study the specific rules and guidelines (look at event / sample roleplays)

• 6. Use practice role-plays or mock presentations to help you prepare

• 7. Use the DECA compete app • 8. Study as many exams as you can!
