ASSEMBLY PROCEDURES1.Get in a single file line.
2.Stay silent in the hallway and in line.
3.Turn left out of room and go down the stairs on the left.
4.Set in the seats in the center of the auditorium. Fill in all the seats.
5.Be respectful to the speaker, actors, etc.

HOMEWORKEven though HW is not graded, it still needs
to be completed!
HW prepares you for the next day in class, it allows you to see how well you know the content, and it prepares you for the learning target quizzes
Will have 1 or 2 HW assignments each week
HOMEWORK REWARDSFor every 3 HW assignments fully completed,
you will be able to get one item from the HOMEWORK REWARD BOX.
Variety of items to choose from: candy, various toys, erasers, pencils, coupons for various school supplies such as 10 pieces of paper, 10 index cards, music pass, extra day to complete HW assignment, etc.
WEEKLYVocabulary Quizzes – words/definitions will
be given at beginning of week and then will take quiz on Friday
Science Test-Taking Skills Packet – packet will be given at beginning of week and will be due on Friday. We will go over as a class after it is checked. Packet must be done in morning study hall, flex, spare class time, or as homework.
LOCKERSI will give you your locker number
and you will need to give me your combination or extra key.
PROCEDURESBeginning of class period:
-When the tardy bell rings you should be in your seat. -Homework should be placed on your desk. -Should begin working on bell work. If bell work is not present, just sit quietly until given instructions. While completing bell work, roll will be taken. -If you come in late you have to sign the tardy sheet by the door.
End of class period:-Continue working until the bell unless otherwise directed.-Put away class materials when asked by the teacher. -Stay seated until the teacher dismisses the class.
PROCEDURESGetting the teacher’s attention:
-Students signal the teacher by raising their hand and wait to be called on
Turning in assignments:-Place class work and/or homework in designated tray when asked
Getting the attention of the class:-When I clap my hands or flip the lights, you…1. Freeze2. Turn and face me; pay attention and keep
your eyes on me3. Be ready for instruction. I will have
something to say.
PROCEDURESPaper Heading:
-Upper right hand corner-First and Last name, Class period, Date, Assignment
Pencil Sharpening:-Bring two or three pencils to class daily-Sharpen pencils before tardy bell or when instructions are not being given-Do not have to ask to sharpen pencil-Only one person at pencil sharpener at a time
PROCEDURESRestroom Use:-Raise hand and ask for permission-By the door on a sheet of paper
titled Tardy Sheet. Print your name. Time out.
Take hall pass. Return hall pass. Time in. -If you receive three tardies/restroom
uses, you will receive a note home and
breakdetention. If you get three note
homes youwill drop a level and will have break detention.
PROCEDURESStudent is absent:
-Students responsibility to come to me for make-up work-Will discuss the assignment and when it is due
Finished early with class work:-Reread the directions and their work-Begin working on homework-If no homework, then read silently or work on other class work
Study Hall-Eat breakfast before leaving the cafeteria. Go to the restroom and locker before entering homeroom. Once you enter homeroom you cannot leave.
PROCEDURESIntercom announcements:
-Stop immediately and listen
Classroom visitor:-Students expected to follow rules and procedures-Courteous to visitor-Do not talk to visitor unless spoken too-Continue working
Student feels sick:-Go immediately to the nearest trash can or restroom (if time)

You will share with the class and in return they will try to determine what is true and what is not.
