WELCOME FÁILTEBIENVENUE W.B. YEATS The majestic W.B. Yeats follows the Irish Ferries tradition of honouring

W.B. Yeats was born in Dublin in 1865, and studied poetry from an earlyage. At 24, he met Maud Gonne, an English heiress and Irish nationalist,and so began a famous affair of obsessive infatuation and unrequitedlove. During his career he founded the famous Abbey Theatre with LadyGregory and was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature. He died in 1939.
Yeats’ life and career is celebrated throughout this ship, with his workfeatured on the décor and downloadable extracts from his catalogueproviding the backdrop to a unique walking tour.
