Time is moving very quickly with the half way mark of Term 4 at the end of the week. Students have been working hard and learning some very interesting things with Mrs Sheridan and Mrs Watts. Mrs Watts is enjoying her time here at Bullarah Public School and has prepared a variety of challenging and engaging lessons in all key learning areas. Next week will be her last so I will take this opportunity to wish her success in her future teaching career. Last week students went to Boomi Public School for the Small Schools Mini-Camp. Students had the opportunity to learn new skills in cooking, music, art and hockey. They also participated in lessons about insects with teachers from the Warrumbungle Environmental Education Centre. Our students were extremely well behaved and enjoyed all the activities and playing with friends from different schools. I wish to extend an enormous thank you to the staff, students and P&C of Boomi for organising such a fabulous event. Swimming lessons at the Moree Aquatic Centre will start on Friday 6 th December. Please see calendar at the side for other dates. A permission note will be sent home next week. It continues to be very hot and dry with conditions expected to only get worse over the coming weeks and months. We will be vigilant in ensuring that students remain hydrated and sun conscious. Our thoughts go out to schools and communities who have recently experienced bushfires.
