Amendment ICongress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

Homework

Ex.On January 18, 2012 the Star Telegram ran a story

about the Westborough Baptist church protesting at military funerals. This story discussed our first amendment right of freedom of speech. According to the Constitution Congress shall make no law abridging the freedom of speech. Our government can not take away our right to state our ideas and opinions.
