Jeju is a mesmerizing island. Visitors are fascinated not

only by Jeju’s beautiful and exotic scenery but also by the

island’s typical peaceful atmosphere. Also, Jeju is a hot

place for famous Korean artists who regard it as a cultural

space that can fully inspire them.

With these reasons, many people who are infected with

some of the island’s magic recommend Jeju as a haven

of peace and tranquility to inspire and refresh their life. As

such, current diverse themes that are explicitly tailored to

Jeju are emerging. In particular, “Jeju wedding” is receiving

much attention for its unique and exotic mood. For

example, “Destination Wedding” is a kind of luxury resort

wedding that used to be only for world famous celebrities

in movies. On the other hand, “Forest Wedding” is rustic

HONEYMOON SNAP SPOT

A beautiful picture that Jeju has presented to meI went to Jeju because these days, date and honeymoon snap photography is gaining popularity over standard wedding photos. Jeju is full of romantic places that can maximize the happiness of the newlyweds. Of the many available venues, my choices were the Oreum, a farm, and a waterfall. I chose these places because I was sure I would be able to shoot the most beautiful photos there. I knew that they would be so lovely, making me want to keep them forever.

Oreum— beautiful up close and from a distanceIn Jeju, there are as many as 368 volcanic cones, and it will take more than a year to look around all of them. These volcanic cones are called “oreums.” Jeju is the only place where a great number of oreums are concentrated in a smallish island, which makes them special. Every oreum has a unique appearance depending on the way they were formed. Some examples are the cinder cone, hydro volcano, and lava dome. Although they all look different, they look harmonious when viewed together. Every single one of them is beautiful, and viewing them as a whole also presents a magnificent view. They look different depending on the time of the day and the season. In this regard, the oreum is an optimal romantic venue.

A rustic atmosphere on meadows, a farm“Rustic” encompasses being rural, simple, and natural. If you want your pre-wedding photographs to be rustic, how about choosing a peaceful farm? It is the most suitable place to wear a country-style dress and shoot vintage-style photos. The lovely atmosphere of the farm and horses naturally harmonize with the scene, making honeymoon photographs blend in with nature—something that couples would definitely fall in love with. Moreover, couples can take basic horseback-riding lessons and ride in various outdoor places such as the oreums or any of the island’s beautiful beaches.

Cheonjiyeon Waterfall, the sacred place where the sky and the earth meetThe name Cheonjiyeon means “a place where the sky and the earth meet.” The waterfall is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Jeju Island. An evergreen forest is formed downstream all the way upstream, which creates gorgeous scenery. The forest is so dense that one can feel that it’s chilly even during the hottest days of the year. The most splendid view is, without a doubt, the water dauntlessly falling. When the waterfall starts glowing after sunset, you can see a different beauty. If you are planning to have a honeymoon photography session in Jeju, the Cheonjiyeon Waterfall—a place filled with wonder—is a definite must.
