Wedding Package
The Ceremony
SAFFRON VENUE
The Saffron venue can accommodate up to 120 guestsseated cinema style
THE COURTYARD
Our courtyard area can seat 140 guests cinema style
With the beautiful water backdrop, one can choose between having the ceremony outdoors in the courtyard with spectacular
views overlooking the Cassia dam or within the Saffron venue for a more intimate service.
In case of bad weather the ceremony can be moved into the original Saffron venue, which is fully air conditioned. We are flexible
in the sense that you are welcome to contact us on the morning of the wedding and we will set up in the appropriate venue for
the ceremony to avoid the weather playing a role in making the ceremony breath-taking.
Pre-Dinner Drinks & Canapes While you go off and document your first few moments as Mr and Mrs, we e are pleased to keep your guests entertained and
comfortable. We offer a variety of mouth-watering canapés which our dedicated and well-presented service team will serve to
your guests in the waiting period.
Our menus can be tailor made to suit all of your requirements and tastes. We are fully capable of tailor-making a signature drink to
offer your Guests after the ceremony. Pre-drinks have become a trendy necessity to your wedding. Whether you would like
refreshing pink lemonade or a glass of our famous bubbly our trained barmen and service staff are ready to rejuvenate your taste
buds.
Wedding ReceptionWe are here to assist you with the planning and coordination of your
special day. We are now able to assist you with a preferred suppliers
list. These are suppliers that know our venue and have worked
with us on numerous occasions to create spectacular weddings
and décor.
Our Professional and friendly staff are on hand to organise the big
day and to ensure that each couple experiences the perfect wedding
from start to finish. Our wedding team will gather information and
characteristics that makes you unique as an individual, but also as a
couple.
We go through a process of dreaming, cutting and pasting to create
an exciting and personalised environment for you and your guests.
Together with you and your ‘’to be” we embark on the most amazing
journey while planning your special day with the close partnership of
industry specialists to bring your dream to a reality.
Venue Size• Saffron Venue – 60 pax with dancefloor
• Saffron Venue – 80 pax without dancefloor
• Saffron Venue – 200 pax with small dancefloor
• The Restaurant – 100 pax inside and 60 on the outside deck
*A dance floor would have to be placed the deck or in the reception area of the main restaurant
Our Saffron venue has featured in various media publications and TV programs such as TOP BILLING, YOU, HUISGENOOT, GOOD HOUSE KEEPING, YOU WEDDING MAGAZINE, MOOI TROUES, PASELLA & MY WEDDING DAY MAGAZINE
Set-up TimeSaffron Function venue will only be available for set-up from 10h00 on the day of the Wedding, whilst Cassia Restaurant itself will only be available from 12h30
Each venue includes the following:
• 12 Round tables - all 10 seaters - for the Saffron Venue,
• Long tables for the Cassia restaurant area with Linen
• Standard white tablecloths according to Cassia tables used, white napkins
• 120 white chairs
• We can accommodate up to 120 Guests with Cutlery, crockery & glassware.
• We can assist you in the rental and sourcing of additional items, which will be for your own account
• There will be an additional hiring charge for tables, chairs, glassware, cutlery & crockery over 120 Guests. You are welcome to either arrange this personally, or we can assist you with a quote for the additional hiring.
SAFFRON VENUE The venue-hire for Saffron Function venue which includes the
extension and courtyard area for both the ceremony and
reception is R35 000
THE RESTAURANTThe venue-hire for Cassia Restaurant is
R55 000
ADDITIONAL COSTSThe fee for Service staff & Barmen is R85-00 per hour
per service staff member.
Set up fee and breaking down fee will be charged of
R1000-00 (this is for the setting up of the tables and
ceremony area & the cleaning of the venue and packing away of décor until collection) – this does not include any décor
setup/breakdown on the day. All décor items must be collected no later than 2 days after your event. We cannot be
held responsible for any décor that is left at the venue.
Venue Costs
In Winter we charge a 50% reduced venue fee of
R17 500 during the months of May –end
September in the Saffron function venue for 2019.
Winter Venue Promotion
This promotion is NOT applicable for the Cassia restaurant area.
We will charge the full venue fee for the main restaurant during the winter months.
There will be an additional venue charge of
R2500.00 for an extra hour for the venue being made available to the guests, to 01H00.
We are only permitted to sell alcohol to 01H00 and the venue must be vacated by 01H30 if this option is taken

MENU SELECTION
We offer a variety of different menu options to select from.
• from R280-00 per person and range up to R420-00 per person.
• (Menu will be reduced by R20-00 per person should your Wedding Cake be served instead of dessert)
• Canapé Menu starting from R75-00 per person.
• We are flexible on the menu selections & we can tailor make a menu that suits you and your tastes
• Menu tastings can be arranged with 5 working notices and are only offered Monday to Friday’s lunch or dinner. Tastings will be charged for according to the pricing of the menu selected.
Food & Beverages
BEVERAGES
We are fully licensed and can offer a full bar service or make available a limited service, cash bar or bar tab.
We also have a wide range of wines to select from.
You are more than welcome to bring your own wines & champagnes and pay a corkage fee of R50-00 per 750ml bottle. We do not allow any other alcoholic beverages on to the premises.
Please note: corkage will be charged on any Nitida wine bought directly from the cellar and brought in to be used at your wedding as we are separate businesses.
Payment Terms & Conditions• 25% deposit of the venue hire is required when signing the contract to secure the booking.• Provisional booking will only be held for 7 days• We allocate 3 meetings to each bridal couple to assist and guide you with the planning of your special day.• All final confirmed numbers and planning to be arranged 10 working days prior to the wedding day, and full payment to be
settled in full 7 days prior to the Wedding.• Any additional items arranged on the day will be charged on consumption to a master account which must be settled at the end
of your event or function.
Terms & ConditionsAll bookings under this agreement shall be subject to the following terms and conditions:
1. All invoices shall be due upon presentation. Any amounts payable by the customer to Cassia Restaurant and Venue in terms of this agreement and not paid on due date, shall accrue interest at 2% (two percent) above the prime bank overdraft rate as advised by the Cassia Restaurant Bankers.
2. Should the function be cancelled: a. All deposits will be non-refundable3. 31 days and later prior to function date, 50% of the anticipated revenue will be charged;4. Within 30 days prior to function date, 100% of the anticipated revenue will be charged;
Terms & Conditions5. The anticipated number of guests is required thirty days prior to the function6. Final numbers and final payments are required by Cassia Restaurant and Venue seven (7 days) work days in advance and must
be within no less than 20% of the initial contact. Cassia Restaurant and venue will charge on this final figure should there be a shortfall in numbers. The final numbers confirmed will be the final numbers catered for on the day.
7. Deposit requirements will be made at the discretion of the Cassia Restaurant and venue. Should the Customer fail to pay such deposit by the date indicated on this agreement, Cassia Restaurant and venue shall deem the booking cancelled.
8. Cassia Restaurant and venue nor its agents or employees shall be liable for any damages or loss which may be caused to any of the goods of the Customer, its employees or invitees brought neither into the premises, nor to any injury or loss of life to theCustomer or its employees or invitees howsoever caused. The Customer further indemnifies and holds harmless Cassia Restaurant and venue against any claim that may be made against Cassia Restaurant and venue by any third party relating to the provisions of the clause.
9. The Customer shall be made responsible for any damage caused to the allocated rooms, furnishing, utensils and equipment therein, by any act or omission of the Customer or guests/employee of the Customer.
10. All day and evening functions must terminate by 16h00 and 00h00 respectively unless a later time is specifically agreed in writing 7 days prior with Cassia Restaurant a venue charge of R2, 500.00 for every hour exceeded will be levied. No alcohol will be served after 01h00 as per the Liquor Act.
11. The Customer agrees to pay on an attorney and own client scale, all legal fees incurred by Cassia in respect of any claim orproceeding arising out of or being in connection with this agreement, as well as all collection commission and tracing costs (ifany).
12. All menu tasting will be charged for as per menu price selected.13. Conferences are held between 08h00 and 17h00. Please confirm availability if extra time is needed.14. Additional tables, chairs, cutlery crockery & glassware over 120 pax will have to be rented in at the clients expense should your
function require them.15. Cassia Restaurant & Tables at Nitida are a separate entity to Nitida Cellars and each operate individually.
