We are now at the end of summer and what a great summer it was. Our last potluck will be on Sept. 21st at 5:00 p.m., dinner starts at 5:15 p.m. followed by another great movie. Remember to bring a dish to share and your own serving spoons.

Bunco is the second and fourth Wednesday, September 11th and 25th at 12:30 p.m. Wear your name tags and don’t be late.

Swim exercises are from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Monday through Friday, and the first Monday of the

month, which will be September 2nd, we start SHARE A LUNCH at 11:00 a.m. in our pool area; come join

us and bring lunch to share.

CRAZY BRIDGE by Pat Cameron

Members are truly enjoying crazy bridge - might even have to make it weekly? September dates are

9-12 and 9-26. Bring your dollar and join us. We have had fantastic snacks to enjoy while playing~

Even Alita's rum balls!

THE RED HATTERS By Nana Ellis The gals had a great luncheon at Stephano’s last Wednesday and locations for our next two

luncheons have been decided, so the Red Hatters will be meeting at the Cracker Barrel on Wednesday,

September 18, at noon; then the October luncheon will be held at Snook Haven, just off River Road near

the Venice Avenue exit, on October 17th, at 11:00 a.m., a Thursday, in order for us to enjoy the banjo

players. Hope we will be seeing some of our ‘Snowbirds’ by then.

HAND & FOOT by Elizabeth Nutter

In September, Hand & Foot continues as usual. Collette Carroll ,475-3228, will be the contact person for info and scheduling. For those who are interested in learning how to play Hand and Foot, NOW is the right time...fewer players and more attention to you. It is not a difficult card game and not one where you have to remember what's played, etc. Just be at the clubhouse at 6 p.m. on Thursday evenings and enjoy the fun. Love to have you!

PENNIES by Bob Carroll

We all have such busy lives that we need a break once in a while. We will not be playing PENNIES dur-

ing the month of September. Will let you know when we start up again.

LIBRARY REMINDER by Arlene Gorman

Please remember no hard covered books or outdated magazines should be left in the library. Thank you for helping to keep the library organized.

The Craft Fair will be November 16th . We will need volunteers for this fun event, so please keep this date

BINGO by Millie Brown

We are still looking for volunteers to help with Bingo. Thank you to the member who has said she will help but, at this time, can only work one Tuesday a month from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00

p.m. That is great, but if a few more volunteers could help, they would only need to work once a month, either from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. or 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. We really need your help as bingo is a great contrib-utor to the clubs financial funds. You can contact either Rita or Millie. If you want to call Millie at 941-473-3127 she will gladly pass the message on and make sure it gets to the right people.

LEMON BAY ISLES PROPERTY OWNERS ASSOCIATION by Cheryl Miller

Wow…September is here – soon many of our snowbirds will be returning to Lemon Bay Isles; and our season will soon take off with all our activities. I understand the rainy season has

spurred the growth of everything, so please do your best to keep your property in good shape, but also, be patient with the law service vendors – I understand it is so wet that many yards are a bit overgrown. As always, please remember to walk against, and ride with traffic; the speed limit in the park is 25 mph, and please pick up after your fur babies. Enjoy our “little piece of paradise”. Stay well and be safe!!

HOLIDAY ESTATES III HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION by Arvilla Collins

As we all know, it is time for us to start heading to our southern home! We'll be arriving

between September and January. Many will want to do repairs, build new and change things outside

their homes. Don't forget, we live in a deed restricted community. This means we agreed when we

bought, that we would live by certain rules. Whether you belong to the homeowners association or not,

you must abide by the deed restrictions. If you are making a change, you must submit them to the

homeowners association before you apply to the county or to a contractor. None of the board members

want to have to come to you after you have made a change and tell you that it must be removed. If you

do not have a copy of the deed restrictions, you can go to the Edgewater Club website, click on Holiday

Estates III, and you will find a copy there. If any board member can help you, please do not hesitate to

contact use. Good luck and quick recovery to our Secretary Margaret Bennett on her surgery.
