2 I will open my mouth in a parable; I will utter dark sayings of old, 3 which we have heard and known, and our fathers have told us. 4 We will not conceal them from our children, but tell to the generation to come the praises of the LORD, and His strength and His wondrous works that He has done.” - Psalm 78:2-4 (NASB) PRAYER COMMUNITY UPDATE - June 2017 PRAYER COMMUNITY UPDATE Monthly Theme: Fathers June 2017 Theme Prayers: Pray for the relationships of every father, whether his children are young or old, that together they would honour God, and that their spirits would flourish! May these fathers persevere and triumph in their faith walk! Pray for spiritual fathers to be raised up in each of our churches; to bless, encourage and refresh those who God places in their paths. Pray for all the fathers who need extra courage, strength and faith; for those who are carrying burdens, and enduring trials. May they sense God’s presence with them! Praise God for fathers who have been good teachers, mentors, and role models, living a life of faith. Around our BIC Canada churches: Pray for the FLOW Intern Development Day on June 19: ‘Grow with God. Go with God.’ Pray for the Summer Book Club as people read ‘Reunion: The Good News of Jesus for Seekers, Saints & Sinners,’ by Bruxy Cavey. Pray for the ongoing pastoral search at Trinitylife Church in Sherkston. Pray for summer staff hired by our churches. Pray God would accomplish His purposes as He prepares and uses these young people as they serve through the church. Around the World: BIC Canada Missionaries - Zambia Joel & Julianne Percy (Micah, Caleb, Nathaniel): Pray for the Macha International Christian School as they review applications for a teaching position. BIC Canada-Global Associates: Kris G: Praise God for the interest and growth of the small group of seekers and new believers in TM village. Pray that they will take the step of baptism soon. (Thailand) Earl & Lois Hess: Thank God that He is using recent pastor installations, fresh biblical teachings, and simple recycling lessons to build His Church. (Malawi) Melissa S: Pray that she will stand firm and let nothing move her; may she be able to give herself fully to the new work in the US that God is calling her to for this time and know that her labour is not in vain. (1 Cor. 15:58) Pray for JOY and PEACE in the midst of these changes. (Spain/USA) Additional Prayer Requests: Pray for the country of Thailand in this period of political and cultural transition. The country is in the year-long period of mourning for the death of the king, even though the king's son has been crowned. Pray for wisdom for leaders, ask that the uncertainties will help people search for spiritual truth and open their hearts to Jesus.’ June 20 is designated by the United Nations as World Refugee Day. Pray for refugees as we commemorate the strength, courage and resilience of refugees around the world.

Theme Prayers:
Pray for the relationships of every father, whether his children are young or old, that together they would honour God, and that their spirits would flourish! May these fathers persevere and triumph in their faith walk!
Pray for spiritual fathers to be raised up in each of our churches; to bless, encourage and refresh those who God places in their paths.
