100% of the websites we looked at for artists that we have researched is that, a typical convention of the title of the artist is always in capital letters, this makes the words stand out to the audience and reminds us that the page it all about this artist. This helps to sell the artist further to the audience, they want to get to know there newly discovered artist.

Another typical convention of an artist website is that all of them include quite a long bibliography about the artist. Within these they talk about there struggle, how they got were they are today, and where they came from. This gives the audience a sense of warmth towards the artist.This is why we believe that as our artist is an up and coming artist, it is necessary that we include a bit of background information for the artist so that the audience can get to know our up and coming artist a little more this will increase the sells of him quite a lot.

From viewing other websites, we have also noticed that another typical code and convention of a website is that it some include photographs of there live performances however 'Cris Cab's' gallery contains photographs of him. Although all photographs include them with there guitar to make them. Therefore we have decided to use both performance photograph and also narrative to make our website a little bit more interesting. As our artists is quite good looking, being able to see the artist will make it easier to sell to the audience. As the audience prefer a good looking artist, we found this out through research.

Another code and convention is that all the websites we researched all have the tour dates on them and it allows us to click on the tickets and it takes us to a separate page to be able to purchase them. This is a good idea as even if u accidentally click, or even if you view it, as your already on the page it persuades you to buy a cheap ticket whilst browsing. We liked this idea so we decided to do it ourselves as well as we believe it will help us sell the artist.

A final code and convention is that they all include the song names and also the album names, it also has availability to listen to the songs on the web page. We thought this idea was good as it then makes people want to listen to all his songs if they like one or two, and its a faster and easier way to sell our artist.
