Yoga at Natural Bridges State Park, Santa Cruz, CA!

What better place to practice some mostly-informal yoga than the beach? I couldn’t think of one, either, don’t worry.

I went down with my friend, Jacquie, who showed me some pretty cool yoga moves.

But we kind of wound up getting a little saltier than we’d initially expected when the water came in –

And then we kind of met some yoga superheroes –

They really showed us how yoga is done!

From this day forward, starting with my walk back from the beach, I have committed to take five minutes each day to collect trash from my surroundings. Picking up bits of rubbish along the way allows places like Natural Bridges keep their serenity, and it protects the wildlife. We all did our part on the way back and picked up what we could: bottles, bottle caps, wrappers, and even a sandal! Imagine if everyone picked up more than they just left on the beaches and other natural landscapes: our world would remain beautiful for years to come.
