The Agricultural Mechanics Repair and Maintenance - Entrepreneurship Proficiency is sponsored by Lulich Auction. Ethan found his passion for tractors while watching and assisting his dad restore tractors. His involvement grew from cleaning parts and sanding sheet metal to restoring his own antique tractors. Ethan is responsible for full restoration of the antique tractor he purchases. Restoration includes engine repair, sheet metal fabrication, electrical components, fitting tires, painting, and more. Ethan gained more insight from tractor restoration experts and the Hart-Parr Oliver Collectors Association. Throughout Ethan’s SAE has learned how to budget a restoration regarding time and money. Lulich’s goal is to restore tractors that are as similar to the original product as possible in order to make them “parade ready”. Ethan’s advisor is Beth Babcock. Ethan will find out this summer if he is selected as one of four national finalists. If selected, he will compete at the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Ind., in October.
