(A) Introduction (provide context for the quest) Students will be able to use web resources to find information on topic discussed in class. (B) Task (what is the goal of the quest)
Before reading Canterbury Tales in class students would have this assignment so they could do research about the story. By doing so they would be familiar with the story and have most of their research done for their essay assignment later. Also, they will gain the tools of proper research that is vital in regards to furthering ones education in and out of the classroom. (C) Process (what are the steps the students will go through) 1. Research Web Resources on Canterbury Tales 2. Pick out the resources that would help you understand the story better. 3. Print out the resources. 4. Create an annotated bibliography for the 3 resources you found most informative.
They will then use the bibliography for their essay. 5. Students will come to class, sit in groups of three, and discuss the site they found
most helpful.
(D) Evaluation (how will the quest be evaluated) Students will turn in their annotated bibliography and resources. I will give them full credit if I feel that an effort has been made. Then I will go over the most
