REPORT OF THE 3rd LEARNING –TEACHING - TRAINING ACTIVITY AT SECONDARY VOCATIONAL SCHOOL, PREŠOV,

SLOVAKIA

14th-18th October 2019 The third Learning / Teaching / Training Activity was held at SECONDARY VOCATIONAL

SCHOOL in PREŠOV in SLOVAKIA, which is managed by School Principal Ms Katarína

Pindešová, from 14th to 18th October 2019.

All partners took a part at meeting (4 teachers and 19 students from Sweden, 3 teachers

and 10 students from Spain, 4 teachers and 8 students from Italy). From the Slovak school

there were 4 teachers and 8 students participated in workshops and other 5 teachers and

18 students participated in other project meeting activities.

The topics of the meeting were:

1. BULLYING and ITS PREVENTION – what the bullying is, what are its signals, how

to defend, how to prevent

2. CYBERBULLYING – what is the difference, how to notice it, activities

3. EMPHATY and MORAL – activities, real friends, symphaty

4. COMPETITION – posters, photos, drawings to topic

5. EXHIBITION OPENING

6. COMPETITION EVALUATION

7. INTERCULTURE - Intercultural afternoon with food, clothing, music

8. EVALUATION of the activities (SWOT analysis).

PROJECT ACTIVITIES

SUNDAY 13th / MONDAY 14th OCTOBER 2019 Travel day

Arrival of the guests.

Teachers ́and students’ accommodation at Penzion Šariš, Sabinovská 1, Prešov

14th October 2019, Monday – breakfast with Spanish partner and meeting the

Swedish and Italian partner in the afternoon, dinner in town center.

The groups were welcomed by the Slovak coordinator Ms Adriana Hugecova and

by other teacher of the Erasmus+ Team Peter Varchol and a student who have

accompanied them for breakfast and in the afternoon for lunch / dinner in the city

center.

TUESDAY 15th OCTOBER 2019

In the beginning of the first working day the guests were welcomed by Ms Adriana

Hugecova – Slovak project coordinator and Mr Peter Varchol, a member of project

team.

The meeting started by video presenting the Prešov region.

The introduction was mainly about some theoretical information about the bullying

and cyberbullying presented by Ms Iveta Cernooka, the school coordinator for

human rights and then the workshop started by presentations of students from

partners schools.

The partners were presenting their results of survey prepared by Slovak partner and

Swedish teachers were presenting also their own survey results examining among

the teachers, parents and students about the bullying at schools.

After the lunchbreak all the participants came to the hosting school for the

exhibition opening. Before it they met the Slovak students who were presenting

our school. The exhibition shows the students´ works of the project international

competition with the topic Bullying and Cyberbullying. The winner is Henrieta

Džamová, student of 3rd course of Secondary Vocational School in Prešov.

WEDNESDAY 16th OCTOBER 2019

The second working day was focused on practical activities prepared by partners –

games, mixed group works, interactive videos, presentation of real case of

bullying,etc.

The students could test their new knowledge taken from the first meeting day by

some funnily ways. They were working in mixed groups of four or five (mix of

nations), thanks what they had a good opportunity to train their English, too.

Together with these activities there was the coordinators´ meeting about the next

project cooperation.

After lunch the participants were welcomed at Prešov Region Office and then they

started the town sightseeing. The sightseeing was prepared by the Slovak students,

they were the guides and also the authors of written bulletin which was also a

present for the guests.

At 16:00 there was organized the Slovak party in hosting school with school

headmaster´s meeting, folk musical program, Slovak traditional food tasting and

teachers´ and students´ interaction.

The participants were enjoying the comfortable atmosphere after two busy

days.

THURSDAY 17th OCTOBER 2019

The third meeting day started with analysis of the Slovak meeting and information

about the next and also the last one in Sweden.

Then we started our journey to the amazing town in north of Slovakia which

historical square is written in Unesco files.

The participants visited the Bardejov Spa, the place for healing mainly digestive

and motoric illnesses, which is closed to town.

They visited the national culture and architecture museum there then they had short

sightseeing of Spa, tried the healing spring water and traditional Spa waffles.

After the lunchbreak we were continuing the trip in Bardejov town with the town

sightseeing and also the Cathedral of st. Egidius visit. Again the Slovak students

living in Bardejov were the guides and had prepared sightseeing materials.

At 17:00 we left for Prešov to say thanks and good bye to our new friends.

Partners ́departure

Our best thanks to our partners for their hard work with preparation of the

workshops and accompanying the students to Slovakia, Erasmus+ National Agencies

for their support and at least to our excollegaue Ms Viera Nižníková for the idea to

do it. Hope, we all had a great time in the country in the heart of Europe, Slovakia.
