weather conditions allowed Membersto sit out on the Victory Garden patioand enjoy the beautiful flower andvegetable garden planted by ourvery own Community Members.The Culinary Executive Chef bakedhomemade tea biscuits to go withwhipped cream and Ontario grownstrawberries. With over 70 dessertsserved by Lifestyles Team Members

Musical entertainment was providedonce again by the talented BernieCostello on piano, who offered awonderful and relaxing atmospherefor everyone to enjoy.

Classic Theatre Festival Matinee - August 28th in PerthJan de Hartog’s Tony Award-winning "The Fourposter"is one of the best-loved plays of the 20th century.This comedy chronicles a couple’s joys and challengesthroughout 35 years of marriage. The play follows themfrom the nervous wedding night, through to childbirthand parenting, to the inevitable mid-life crisis, and thefinal realities of aging. It is one of those rare plays that 

combines charm, depth of character, dramatic tensioand comic relief in a manner that makes audiences f

  good about the promises of love, and the possibilitof life. First staged on Broadway in 1951 (starrireal-life couple, Hume Cronyn and Jessica Tandy). Seatiis limited, cost is $30, no refunds. A picnic lunch will provided.

Thank You to Friends of Sport Fishing, Patterson Lake ChapterMembers of the Waterside are very appreciative of theFriends of Sport Fishing crew who volunteered to takethree boat loads of Community and Team Members out cruising and fishing on Patterson Lake just outside Lanark last month. The boat trips were thoroughly enjoyed by all

who had the opportunity to attend. The first two crewsenjoyed a relaxing cruise along the shoreline of PattersonLake, admiring the cottage properties that surround the3.6 km long private lake. Many were skeptical about theweather, as the morning began with a BANG of thunderand lightning but the skies cleared just as the bus pulledup to the lake.

The following day, all the avid fishing gentlemen awomen headed back up to Patterson Lake to catch Bwalleye and bass. Many fish were caught and the neven had to be used to pull in the biggest fish of the dcaught by Keith Eddy. A special honorary mention to Lu

McConnell who was named the “Bait Master” as she kefishing lines baited for Team Member Alison Lunn aCommunity Member Merton Glenn.

Community Members can look forward to more boatand fishing trips on Patterson Lake as the Friends of SpFishing have asked us to return again soon!
