Congratulations to all the students who attended and represented our school at the District Athletics Carnival on Wednesday 15th September.

Our school competed with 9 other schools and they were great sports and representatives of our school on the day.

Do you want to save money?

When heaters are on close windows, blinds, doors and all things that will let cold air in to keep the hot air inside the room and save energy.

Closing doors, windows and blinds can also protect our environment, so you are doing a good thing.

Power Bills

Do you want to save money?

Switch off appliances not in use at the wall. The cost of appliances which are switched on and not being used (on standby) can add over $100 on your annual power bill!

Switching off can also protect our environment, so you are doing a good thing.

Energy Saving Tips from our Student Sustainability Team

Dress for the weather Do you want to save money?

Dress for the weather – in winter, wear extra layers inside and lower your heating thermostat. By setting your heating thermostat between 18-20°C, you can decrease your running costs by up to 10%. In sum-mer, wear lighter clothing and keep your air conditioner’s thermostat between 24°C – 26°C.

Dressing appropriately can also protect our environment, so you are doing a good thing.

Do you want to save money?

Only heat, cool and light rooms you are using. Where possible, zone your lighting and ducted heating or cool-ing and close off doors to unoccupied rooms.

Switch off when you leave a room and you can also protect our environment, so you are doing a good thing.
