Waltham Curvex Stainless steel – Circa 1934’s

Mint condition Waltham curvex made circa 1934’s with an Art Deco style. On the movement is engraved Waltham USA – 17 jewels with the number 28585682. The dial is white/gray with Arabic painted gold hour. The hands are also gold color. On the crown comes a lovely blue sapphire.

Inside the case you have engraved “Supreme IWCCO with the number 9369144 W”. The watch comes with a black calfskin leather band.

Waltham was founded in 1885 in Massachusetts. The company decided the mass production of cheap watches as its strategy. Models for men began with the outbreak of World War I and brought booming business. The end of the war threw the company into a severe crisis. After making roughly 35 millions watches, in 1955, the end of the production in the US comes and the company closed definitely.
