~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The two roses in worship this morning celebrate new life — one rose is in honor of the birth of
Ava RubyPearl Purnell, born January 2, 2018. Ava weighed 6#5oz, 19 1/2” long. Proud parents are Allison DeBold and Desmond Purnell.
The second rose signifies new life in the church with the profession of faith and membership joining of Alan Robert Piwowar.
The blue altar candle is a reminder to keep our military and first responders in our prayers.
With Ash Wednesday, we have begun the season of Lent. Our
worship space reflects this. What changes do you notice
in the chapel as we "make space" for God, as we make
changes, and move towards a simpler way of living
during these six weeks?
