6th partners meeting

On 4th – 6th of August, 2016, the sixth partners

meeting of VOYAGE project was held.

The meeting took place in Nida, Lithuania. Agenda included review of the project results and round table discussion with the project officer Valentino Izzo (EASME) and VOYAGE participants. Project summery and future itineraries were presented during the final conference.

VOYAGE is a life time opportunity, which brings you to personal and professional FREEDOM.

The project was launched on 1st of August, 2015.

VOYAGE project consortium is composed of 8 partners from 6 different countries: Lithuania, France, Greece, Italy, Turkey, Poland.

Closer of VOYAGE project

Before and after the final conference partners were having their final meeting, which was dedicated for the project administration and implementation procedures.

During the partners meeting the strongest merit and biggest challenges of the project were discussed. Later the reflections on achieved results and review on the last tasks that need to be accomplished during the last month of the project were stretched. The coordinator will deliver an extended evaluation in order to deliver comprehensive assessment of the project’s impact.

It was truly enjoyable experience working with such professional partners and the announcement by EASME that VOYAGE was nominated as one of the best co- funded project by the European Commission, proves

that our efforts were acknowledged at the highest level.

Future plans of VOYAGE

The project is over, but VOYAGE continues. We are extending the VOYAGE

challenge offer and planning the training itineraries in various countries.

Successfully tested and proved itineraries: Croatia – Montenegro and Sicily

– Malta are going to be available in spring next year. Meanwhile, we are

offering new itineraries in Cyprus, Canary Islands, Turkey for autumn 2016.

Currently we are developing itineraries for Greece, Portugal and Lithuania,

which will be offered for the next year.

The fast track entrepreneurial travel VOYAGE offers from one to two weeks

training abroad with a choice of formal education (20ECTS) option.

Exclusive methodology, originally structure learning materials, outstanding

mentors and unique experience with local entrepreneurs will allow you to

gain once in lifetime opportunity to improve your professional & personal life.

Youth festival “Varom”

Youth festival “Varom” (“let’s go”) 2 – 3 July, 2016 was organized

by one of VOYAGE entrepreneurial travel participant Simonas

Dailidė. After a successful and bursting with excitement experience

in entrepreneurial travel in Sicily – Malta, Simonas was happy to

improve annual festival, adding some new insights. He invited

VOYAGE team to join the festival and share information about such

an exclusive opportunity with others

VOYAGE mentor Simona Šimulytė presented a deep and

thoughtful presentation called “Illusion: to laugh or cry. Or why

conflicts emerge”. Her speech has definitely gave “food for

thoughts” for all listeners.

Later, another presentation was followed by photographer and

VOYAGE participant Kristina Sireikaitė, who gave a lot of

interesting insights on how to capture a whole story in one picture!

“Cultural Week” in Palanga

“Cultural Week” cycle in Palanga is a festival that will last all summer. One of the events –

leadership summer camp dedicated for responsible leadership skills development of youth.

VOYAGE entrepreneurial travel coach Simona Šimulytė was training participants of summer

camp “Žali Žmogeliukai“, 9 – 15 July, 2016. The key task of the training was to organize civic

event related to responsible leadership. When the participants discovered 2 old pianos in youth

centre of Palanga, they decided to go for the event “save the piano” (#iškelbėkpianiną). Video,

Sea Festival in Klaipėda

Annual Sea Festival took place in Klaipėda on 29 – 31 July,

2016. During the eight decades of its existence, the festival

has not lost its originality or appeal,

About half a million visitors from Lithuania and abroad have

visited the Festival, and the participants were able to take

part in more than 100 different events during this lively

week-end. Differently from previous festivals, this year

activities were spread to various corners of the old town.

VOYAGE team together with Lithuanian Tourism

Department were located in “Tourism street”.

VOYAGE challenge wheel with its fun though challenging

activities attracted many visitors. Lithuanians as well as

tourists from abroad were enjoying the games and

souvenirs that we prepared.

Regatta and Final conference of VOYAGE

VOYAGE Final conference was organized together with

Regatta in Nida on 5th August, 2016.

A day before, VOYAGE team together with some VOYAGE

challenge participants and the project office Valentino Izzo

(from the EASME) had an informal meeting.

During VOYAGE final conference the president of Lithuanian

Sailing Union Nagils Nasvytis together with VOYAGE project

initiator and mentor Simona Šimulytė presented VOYAGE

project achievements and entrepreneurial travel product to the

public. Presentations were followed by participants’

testimonials.

After the official presentations and discussion with the public,

one VOYAGE group continued with sailing in Regatta and

another continued to engage with the public calling people to

spin VOYAGE challenge wheel and win gifts.

VOYAGE travel blog: Leadership lessons at sea – sober head and no sleep

A week of sailing and visiting the Maltese and Sicilian shores – the first part of the

VOYAGE challenge. 8 new members representing different professional fields were

brave enough to accept VOYAGE challenge and to take off.

As soon as participants arrived in Sicily they settled in their new home – yacht

Isabella, tiny space where they will spend the whole week. [...]

After leaving the first Italian port, the participants have met the first unexpected

“visitor”. Seasickness – certainly not a myth. Unfortunately, no participant managed to

avoid this burden.[...]

VOYAGE entrepreneurial travel is not a holidays, it’s about experiencing and

obtaining new skills. Therefore, from the first days participants were looking for

solutions how to improve the structure of the local tourism, learning how to make

marine knot and have tried to find creative ways in order to exchange VOYAGE

candies into valuable souvenirs, which later were brought back home to families. [...]
