VULCAN SENTINEL TM FLUID ENDS UNCONVENTIONAL PERFORMANCE Designed to be a direct drop-in replacement fluid end for FMC WQ2700, WQ3000, 10-inch stroke, or other equivalent well service pump power ends. DESIGN FEATURES The SENTINEL is engineered to address the growing challenges facing pressure pumpers in today’s market and does so with the added benefit of reducing the total cost of ownership. The SENTINEL is designed to overcome the challenges of higher complexity well completions, increased service intensity, sand concentrations, and corrosive treating fluids. The SENTINEL fluid end is designed to utilize commonly available loose components such as packing replacement sets, bore seals, valves, seats, etc., which gives the operator the ability to standardize on loose components across their fleets and reduces spare part inventory stocking requirements. Vulcan developed the SENTINEL fluid end to overcome the most prominent causes of premature fluid end failures: Typical legacy valve-over-valve fluid end configurations operate with high stresses at the cross-bore intersections which accelerates crack development and reduces fatigue life. The SENTINEL fluid end is engineered to reduce these stresses using a field proven design methodology through optimized geometry backed up with rigorous computational stress simulations. Vulcan applies targeted, proprietary surface treatments to further extend the fatigue life of SENTINEL fluid ends. The SENTINEL fluid end’s low stress geometry is fabricated using advanced manufacturing practices and stringent requirements on raw materials. Vulcan only sources fluid end forgings through forging suppliers of the highest technical and quality caliber in the U.S. and Europe, yielding a fluid end that will consistently outperform the competition. SENTINEL fluid ends are available in Vulcan’s propriety grades of 15-5PH stainless steel and newly developed advanced grade of stainless which was developed with one objective in mind; deliver the next evolutionary step change in fluid end performance to our customers.

Available in plunger sizes: 4.0, 4.5, or 5.0-Inch

Vulcan SENTINEL fluid ends offer easier maintenance, installation and greatly enhanced reliability with the integrated stuffing box design feature, which is built directly into the forging. This eliminates many possible failure modes typical with competitor fluid ends and yields lower probability of unscheduled maintenance downtime on the job site.

Recognizing early on that the ever-increasing corrosive nature of pressure pumping fluids used in frac operations would inherently limit the achievable performance threshold of fluid ends fabricated from traditional 4330 carbon alloy steels, Vulcan moved quickly and decisively to invest into research and development of its proprietary grades of 15-5PH and Advanced Stainless

TM steel.

With proper maintenance and operation, Vulcan SENTINEL fluid ends manufactured from our 15-5PH stainless steel can be expected to perform at three to four times the typical life of competitors’ carbon alloy steel fluid end offerings. The utilization of Vulcan’s Advanced Stainless

TM steel grade can deliver a step

change in fluid end performance beyond what is currently achievable with 17-4PH and 15-5PH stainless steels.
