With the KOCH metering device it is possible to meter material with an accuracy of up to 0.005 %.You can colour shotweights from 1 to 5000 grams and this – if required – using just one metering station. Every compact conveyor fits on all large metering stations and intermediate hopper units.
A simple calculation shows how important it is to use a good volumetric chamber device:

This granular station can be employed to meter additionalcolour with extreme accuracy.The quantity of the meteredadditive is continuously variable. Whether masterbatch, largeor small pellets, the metering roller has been designed to copewith them all and has performed outstandingly over the years.

The ability to meter sharp-edged pellets without blocking themetering equipment is absolutely essential for continuousproduction.The regrind station achieves this by a star-feederof V2A steel. Absolutely leak-proof, with a central agitator anda side-mounted motor. A slider assembly at the bottom ofthe station provides for quick colour or material exchangewithout the need to dismantle any of the equipment.

Intended for extruders and blow moulding machines. Metering iseffected in batches. The new generation of KOCH-MC micro-processor controlunits fulfils all customer requirements.All processes frommetering, colouring, processing capacity in kg with date,time, statistics, level control and possible fault monitoring are handled and stored for recall at any time. However, youcan also connect it up to a PC via an integral interface whichenables you to access the data from your office or to inputand change recipes in the recipe memory. Once you haveentered the recipe for the material to be processed youneed only input the desired percentage values and the metering quantity will be computed automatically by theKOCH-MC control unit. In this way several hundreds ofrecipes can be inputted and stored.A large LC display facili-tates data input.The internal constant value memory ensuresthat no information is lost.
Programming of the control unit is greatly simplified by logicuser-guidance.This makes the whole task simple and safe andsignificantly reduces the effort involved as these days instantaccess and evaluation of all operating data is no longer aluxury, but rather a necessity.

Metering and weighing gravimetrically, controlling, correcting and evaluating in one operation – and all this at a favourable price.
The individual components are metered into a weighing hopper by a slider or alternatively a star-feeder (volumetric chambermetering).The scale registers the actual weight of the individual components which is transferred to the KOCH controller andcompared with the calculated desired weight.The weighing for each filling is performed several times consecutively, and normalfluctuations are compensated by forming the mean value.
If the desired and actual weight coincide, the bulk goods are emptied into the mixer.
By combining the slider opening times with volumetric chamber metering it is usually possible to exactly meter up to ± 4 grainsper 1000. A control loop is created by combining the optional accurate volumetric chamber metering with the controlling andcorrecting gravimetric metering.This control loop guarantees an absolutely correct metering – independent of the bulk goods –with an accuracy of ± 3 grains per 1000.
The KOCH GRAVIKO program detects external interferen-ces as "tearaways” and disregards them in the comparison of the weighing results. Faulty metering due to external influences is then a thing of the past.
