Cancer: Prevention and Healing
In our weekly meeting on December 15, 2017 the chief
guest Dr. Geeta Arora, Associate Professor - Public Health,
Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh, was introduced
by PP Rtn. Pallav Mukherjee. Her specialization is
environmental engineering. She was accompanied by her
daughter, who briefly spoke about her mother.
Dr. Geeta Arora
Dr. Geeta Arora complimented our
club for undertaking so many
community projects, and offered
her services for the cause of
Rotary. Talking about cancer, she
said, “It is a lifestyle disease and
spreading like an epidemic.” She
explained the laws of cancer,
saying that the body fails to
produce adequate amount of active
pancreatic enzymes due to its overworking, neurological
injury or malfunction of body chemistry, muscular
disorders and damaged tissues.
She explained in details twenty points relating to the facts
of cancer. She said, “There are only two physicians – the
Almighty and your own body.” She added, “For the cancer
to cure there must be a positive change in the physiology of
the patient. It is you and your body chemistry that cures
you and your disease.” She further adviced, “In doing this
you must balance the environmental, physical, mental and
spiritual – each facet plays a part in your cure.”
Dr. Geeta was highly critical about the modern lifestyle due
to improper diet, more toxins, lack of exercise, lack of
EMF – sunlight, microwaves, stress, emotional toxins and
not being in harmony with nature. She pointed out the
harmful effects in the diet we eat and even the water and
milk we drink. She advocated against the use cell phones,
Wifi/routers, air conditioners, cars and all the modern
gadgets as these are not good for health and may even
cause cancer.
She said the lifestyle 100 or 200 years was much better,
healthier and simpler when people used to walk for several
kilometers daily as there was no mode of transportation in
those days. We have forgotten all the right things about
lifestyle. She strongly believed that the modern lifestyle is
not sustainable.
Dr. Geeta recommended the books of some renowned
authors like Dr. William Donald Kelley’s ‘One answer to cancer’,
On behalf of our club PP Pallav Mukherjee thanks Dr. Geeta
Arora, and presents her a memento. Looking on are President

are living beyond the age of 80 if modern lifestyle is so
bad! PP Rtn. Mrs. Ritu Singal said we have been made so
knowledgeable about the ill effects of food and gadgets
like cell phones and WiFi etc., that all this sounds very
scary! She wanted to know what are the solutions.
Rtn. Dr. I.S. Virdi, with 35 years of vast experience as a
cardiac surgeon, who has performed thousands of
surgeries said, “I carry my cell phone in my breast pocket
for the last 10 years, and I have studied everything about
radiation and heart. Cell phones are no problem at all.”
Dr. Virdi clarified the doubts that were raised in the
minds of the audience, much to the relief of all present, as
modern medical science is highly advanced, having
