The Springs Book ClubJulie Baker
The Springs Book Club will be meeting on Wednesday, April 10 at 10:00 am in the card room at the Clubhouse. We will be discussing Lilac Girls by Martha Hall Kelly. It takes place at the beginning of World War ll and we live it through the eyes of three very different women. One is Caroline, a New York City socialite with a post at the French Consulate when Hitler invades Po-land. The second woman is a Polish teenager who sees her youth disappearing as she is drawn into the the re-sistance movement. Our third woman is an ambitious young German doctor who finds herself trapped in a male dominated realm of Nazi secrets and power. This book promises to provide a good discussion and all are welcome to join us.

REMEMBER, IN THE SPRINGS ~
Residents are reminded about our speed limit which applies throughout the Camarillo Springs area. Unfortunately, many seem to be using Camarillo Springs Road to/from the RV lots as a speedway. This is dangerous since we have many pedestrians of all ages walking on our streets. PLEASE OBEY OUR SPEED LIMIT!!
Pet Rules Reminder
Residents are reminded that their pets should be on a leash when not within their own fenced backyard. In accordance with both County Law and Springs Association Rules, the pet must be on a leash at all times and the leash should be no longer than six feet (i.e., the expandable leashes do not meet this requirement). This also means that nowhere within The Springs should be used as a dog park, including the Nature Park. Please be courteous to others and follow our Pet Rules which includes not letting them put their cute little paws on someone else’s private property.

Pool Opening
The following was sent by Malisa Kundin via email:
The pool heater is scheduled to be turned on Thursday, March 28th. The pool will be heated to 82 degrees, and will take a couple of days to get there. It historically takes 1.5-2 days to get there. It will reach its target temperature by April 1st. With cooperation from the weather, it could be at a swimmable temperature over the weekend. (The spa is always heated and is set to 103 degrees.) Please feel free to use the facility anytime between 6am and 10pm. Please remember that guests using the pool must be accompanied and supervised by a homeowner at all times. Hours for guests under age 18 are:
• 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, weekdays and July 4th;• 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, Saturdays; and• 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, Sundays, Memorial Day and Labor Day.
A note about the restrooms: Please help make the restrooms safe by taking a moment to dry off well before entering the restrooms from the pool area. When using the showers, please keep your towel handy and dry off thoroughly before leaving the curtained area so that the walkways in the restrooms can stay as safe and dry as possible for others. Thank you so much for your help, and happy swimming!
Do You Have any Historical Springs Photos??
The Springs Social Committee is planning a Home Tour and Luncheon Presentation of The Springs History for Saturday, May 4th. While we already have numerous photos from the 80s when The Springs was initially developed, we are always interested in more. If you have any photos from that time, please contact Robbie Dornick at [email protected] to see if we can incorporate them into our slide show. THANKS!

Neighborhood Watch
The following email is from Senior Deputy Virginia Tinoco, Camarillo Police Department, Crime Prevention: In today’s day and age, social media information will spread faster through a community than a 911 call to dispatch. HOWEVER, the information spread on social media is not always correct, factual or even true. While we are lucky to have such a network of fast communication, we are responsible for being reasonable and rational when hearing it. In recent weeks, there have been several scares spreading like wildfire in our communities. It is not until we research claims made on social media that we can support or refute them. If there is a threat to safety against anyone, notify police immediately. Otherwise, get answers, ask questions and if ever in doubt, call the police!
There are many other resources on our new website. If you have any questions, please feel free to call me at 805-388-5130.
