REPORTS TO: Manager of Quality Assurance

SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Manager of Quality Assurance, the Quality Auditor provides support to production and the

Quality Management System (QMS) by performing inspection activities to product processed at each stage of

operations, ensuring quality specifications adhere to prints/drawing, inspections sheets and travelers. This position

will also monitor product identification, calibration and ensure products meet the expectations of the customer.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.

• 2-3 years of experience in a related Quality Function

• The individual must have a solid understanding of metal fabrication concepts and processes.

• The individual must possess a keen sense of attention to detail.

• Must be able to determine material types and gages.

• Can read and interpret blueprints

• Must be able to navigate in a Windows based computer environment

• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Product testing and Inspection (Visual, Dimensional, Pressure decay, Vacuum decay, etc…)

• Cross Checks of product at each stage of operations to prints/drawings, traveler, inspection sheets,

Control Plan and Visual Criteria

• Issue gages to employees and ensure gauges are calibrated and properly identified

• Collection and data entry of inspection results and/or quality records

• Monitoring of gauge inventory and other quality supplies

• Identification and reporting of nonconforming product.

• Ensure product is inspected or tested according to the inspection protocol or plan

• Training of quality expectations to operations personnel when changes to the inspection process have been

changed

• Assists with the plantwide communication of Quality Alerts or Quality concerns.

• Has the authority to stop production when nonconforming parts are detected

• Assists members of the Quality Department as needed and as time permits.

• Other duties as assigned.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Inspection and cross check of tanks, skids, weldments and fabricated parts

• Adherence to the Quality Policy and expectations

REPORTS TO: Manager of Quality Assurance

SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Manager of Quality Assurance, the primary role of the Quality Technician is the Inspection

of First Article (FA) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) products and the associated reporting. The Quality

Technician will work with the NPI Quality Coordinator when products are associated with PPAP or FA jobs to ensure

that the products shipped meet the expectations of the customer and are delivered right the first time including any

of the associated identification and documentation requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.

• 2-3 years of experience in a related Quality Function

• Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) a plus.

• The individual must have a solid understanding of metal fabrication concepts and processes.

• The individual must possess a keen sense of attention to detail.

• Must be able to determine material types and gages.

• Can read and interpret blueprints

• Must be able to navigate in a Windows based computer environment

• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Manager of Quality Assurance, the Process Quality Engineer’s primary role is the continual improvement

of processes to improve customer satisfaction and reduce the overall Cost of Quality (COQ). The Process Quality Engineer will

collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing to determine and implement best practices and methods for processes that reduce

internal scrap and rework or minimize or eliminate customer complaints.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business-related field

• 1 year of experience in a related metal fabrication or quality function (metal cutting, forming, welding, and powder paint

operations)

• American Society for Quality (ASQ) certifications preferred: Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Six Sigma Green Belt

(CSSGB) or Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA)

• Solid understanding of quality systems, inspection and testing processes.

• 6σ, Lean, PPAP, FMEA, APQP, Problem solving (8D, 5-why) experience

• Solid understanding of metal fabrication concepts and processes.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints

• Must be able to navigate in a Windows based computer environment

• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word and CAD software

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

• Proficient at multitasking and prioritizing.

• Keen sense of attention to detail.

• Willingness to work flexible hours with a changing work schedule as needed to support production

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Evaluate processes to identify and implement improvements

• Lead root cause investigations and develop effective long-term resolutions.

• Assist Engineering with design, feasibility review, testing and implementation of new programs or program

modifications

• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing to troubleshoot and implement corrective actions on a timely basis.

• Qualification of new processes or changes to processes, including documentation, training and certification of

production staff.

• Work independently with little supervision while still delivering excellent results on time

• Assist with the plantwide communication of Quality Alerts or Quality concerns.

• Has the authority to stop production when nonconforming parts are detected

• Quality Representative when Manager of Quality Assurance is out of the office.

• Other duties as assigned.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Primary accountability: Process improvements to reduce COQ and customer complaints.

• Adherence to the Quality Policy and expectations
