    KKKK HOMEINI ' S popu-lar slogan is: "NOSUNNI'ISM ANDNO SHI'ISM". This overtcall of the Shi'i priests isdesigned for the consump-tion of Sunni Muslims whoconstitute the Ummah of Rasulullah (sallallahualayhi wasallam).

    However, like numerousverbal professions of theShi'i priests are based ontheir doctrine of Taqiyah, sotoo, is this vociferous sloganof "No Sunni'ism and NoShi'ism". (Taqiyah is theShiah doctrine of holy hy-

    pocrisy by which it is per-missible for them to concealtheir true beliefs and professverbally what they do not

    believe.) How is it possiblefor there not to be Sun-ni'ism? And, how is it possi-

    ble for there not to beShi'ism? The foundation onwhich Sunni'ism is reared is

    Love for the Sahaabah of Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhiwasallam) while the corner-stone of Shi'ism is Hatredfor the Sahaabah . The tworeligions, viz., Islam andShi'ism are irreconcilableopposites. The one repels theother.

    The slogan of Khomeiniis nothing other than a pieceof political trickery to gainthe support of the Ahl-e-Sunnah for the fulfilment of his despicable motives of

    political power. A groupwhich pours out such ex-treme hatred for the Sahaa-

    bah of Nab i-e-Ka reem(sallallahu alayhi wasallam)as the Shiah sect, cannever stand on the same platformwith those whose article of faith includes love and re-spect for all the Sahaabah.Shiahs who proclaim that thehighest among the Sahaabahwere murtads and kaafirs

    cannever themselves beMuslims. Such vile claim-ants cannever be the friendsof those who follow the Pathof the Sunnah, the Path of Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhiwasallam) and the illustriousSahaabah.

    Khomeini stated in a mes-sage for a youth rally:"The Islamic and non-Islamic powers of the worldwill not admit our power tillsuch time that we establishour hold over Makkah andMadinah because these arethe centres and citadels of Islam. Hence our dominationover these places is an essen-tial requirement. . . . . .whenas a conqueror I will enter Makkah and Madinah, thefirst thing to be done at thattime by me would be to digout the two idols (i.e. Ha-dhrat Abu Bakr and HadhratUmar) lying by the side of

    t h e P r o p h e t ' sgrave." (Khomeinism & Is-lam by Abu Rehan Faarooqi)

    This attitude of Khomei-ni is not only his personal

    belief and personal hatredfor the two greatest Sahaa-

    bah, but it mirrors the belief of Shi'ism regarding HadhratAbu Bakr Siddique and Ha-dhrat Umar (radhiyallahuanhuma). In the books of Shi'i theology, the followingnoxious beliefs are propagat-ed:* When Imaam Mahdi ap-

    pears, he will order the exhu-mation of the bodies of Ha-dhrat Abu Bakr and HadhratUmar. Their bodies will behung on a tree for publicshow. Their bodies whicheven according to Shi'ismhave not decomposed, will

    be stripped of their kafan.Thus, the nude bodies of these noble Sahaabah will be

    put up for a disgraceful

    show.* Imaam Mahdi will re-store Hadhrat Abu Bakr andHadhrat Umar to life.* The sins of entire man-kind, right from the incep-tion of the world until thetime of Imaam Mahdi's ap-

    pearance, collectively de-volves on these two nobleSahaabah. Hence, ImaamMahdi will put them todeath. They will then be re-vived and Imaam Mahdi will

    put them to death. They willthen be revived and death

    will continuously be in-flicted on them a thousandtimes daily, forever and ever.These corrupt and vileclaims are stated in the Shi'i

    book, Haqqul Yaqeen, theauthor of which is among thehighest Shiah theologians,Mullah Baqir who is also theauthor of another book

    Zaadul Ma'aad which like-wise contains many vile fab-rications about the Sahaabah.In his book, Zaadul Ma'aad, Mullah Baqir asserts that:* Hadhrat Umar, the se-cond Khalifah of Rasulullah(sallallahu alayhi wasallam),was a kaafir. Nauthubillaah!

    Not only a kaafir, but theleader of the munaafiqeen.* Rasulullah (sallallahualayhi wasallam) had cursedHadhrat Umar and had

    prayed for his destruction.As a result of the la'nat(curse) which Rasulullah(sallallahu alayhi wasallam)and Hadhrat Faatimah(radhiyallahu anha) invokedon Umar (radhiyallahu an-hu), he was murdered by thekaafir Persian, Lu'lu'.* The murderer of HadhratUmar (radhiyallahu anhu),

    by virtue of having murderedHadhrat Umar, deserves themercy of Allah, hence, Ha-dhrat Huzaifah (according toShi'i falsehood) prayed for Allah's Rahmat to be on thekaafir, Lu'lu', the murderer o f H a d h r a t U m a r (radhiyallahu anhu).* The most auspicious day

    girl looking to make a differ-ence?

    Yes I know it is a mansduty to provide, but unfore-

    seen circumstances will al-ways arise. Either the men inquestion, at times her own

    fuse to. What then? We arenot an Islamic state? No in-dividual can order a man tomaintain an adult woman if he wishes not to.

    no stigma attached to thenuqs fil aql (deficiency in the

    brains) of a female.However, the discourse

    of the enlightened aunt palpably displays the intel-lectual malady from whichshe suffers. There is a varie-ty of intellectual maladies

    nuqs fil aql of females is ex-cluded since it is not a mala-dy in relation to them which affects persons, espe-cially the westernized so-called intellegentsia whoare the victims of the opson-ic indoctrination of the im-moral institutions termeduniversities.

Regardless of how good a kitaabmay be, if the author is a faasiq, ab-stain from reading it. The effect of theauthor's fisq spiritually permeates hiswriting, and this has a spiritually det-rimental effect on the reader. Q. The will of the deceased is un-Islamic. Two heirs were excluded.However, the two excluded heirssay that they do not want anythingfrom the estate and the remainingheirs may share the estate as stipu-lated in the will. Will it be permissi-ble to distribute the estate amongthe other heirs with the consent of the two excluded sons?A. Even if the heirs willingly do notwant anything from the mayyit's es-tate, the haraam will is not valid. Sec-ondly, the statements of the two sonshave no validity in the Shariah prior to taking possession of their assets.They have to incumbently take physi-cal possession of their assets. Onlythereafter may they do whatever theywish with their inheritance. However,

    prior to distribution and taking pos-session, the forfeiture of their sharesis not valid. Q. Is it permissible for a Muslimcontractor to build a warehouse fora company which also deals in liq-uor?A. As long as the warehouse is not

    being built specifically for storing

    liquor or for a haraam purpose, thecontractor may build it for the compa-ny. Q. We are a manufacturing com-pany and supply to major retailoutlets. Can we run a lucky drawcompetition to win computers if consumers buy our products anddrop the receipt with their nameand number in a box? After amonth the draw takes place and thelucky numbers get the prizes.A. You may go ahead with the 'luckydraw' competition. It is permissible.As long as a separate entry fee is notcharged, the 'lucky draw' competitionwill be permissible. Q. Is it permissible to work as anauditor?A. Working as an auditor per se is

    permissible. However, there are other factors to be taken into consideration.Each case will have a different ruling.For example, it will not be permissi-

    ble to work as an auditor for a bank or a liquor company, nor will it be per-missible for a female auditor to work in an environment in which her pur-dah/Hijaab is violated. Q. We are owners of a large whole-sale grocery business. We purchasegoods in large quantities. Theweight and volume is marked on

    each container by the supplier. Webuy and pay according to weight/volume. When selling the goods werely on the weight stated on thecontainers by the suppliers. Recent-ly when we made a random check

    and weighed a few packets, we dis-covered some packets weighed lessthan the stated weight on the pack-et. Is it permissible for us to sell thegoods relying on the weight statedon the containers or are we obligedto weigh all the packets before sell-ing?

    What is the position if certaingoods lose some weight due to theheat? What happens if this is thegeneral trade practice and is ac-cepted? Should the wholesaler havea large scale and weigh each itembefore selling? Can he demandcompensation from the supplier forthe short-weight?A. It is totally haraam to sell a prod-uct by weight if the weight is lessthan the stated weight on the packet/

    bag. Allah Ta'ala warns of under-weight in several aayats of theQur'aan Majeed. There are also sto-

    ries of the fearful consequences whichovertook those who gave underweightor were careless in this regard.

    A simple solution would be to putup prominently displayed notices toinform customers of the probability of the containers containing less weight.A scale should be placed nearby toenable every customer to weigh theitem. And, if found to be less thanwhat the weight states, either a reduc-tion should be made in the price or the short weight should be made upwith the same product. For example,if there is 500 gm flour short, then500gm flour should be given to thecustomer.

    The other more difficult option isto employ extra staff to weigh each

    packet and mark those which are un-derweight.

    Regardless of the manner inwhich the weight is reduced, e.g. byheat, etc., if the customer is under theimpression that the product weighs 5kg., then it is the obligation of theseller to ensure that the item weighs 5kg. If it weighs less, then the correctweight should be written on the pack-et with the new price.

    The wholesaler may claim fromhis supplier the weight which wasgiven less to him. It may be given tothe wholesaler in the form of the same

    products or a monetary compensation.The bottom line is that the seller

    has to ensure that the customer re-ceives the exact weight which ismarked on the container.Q. When performi ng JanaazahSalaat outside, people remove theirshoes and stand on them when per-forming Salaat. Is this correct?A. It is meaningless to stand on theshoes if these are impure. If clean,then too it is meaningless to removethe shoes when Janaazah Salaat is

    performed outside. If the shoes aretaahir/paak/clean and Janaazah Salaat

    is being performed outside, then thereis no need to remove them. If impure,then it will not be permissible to standon the shoes. The Salaat will then not

    be valid. Q. Some people when writing the

    name of Rasulullah (sallallahualayhi wasallam), write S.A.W. Isthis proper?A. It is not permissible to write anyabbreviated form of Durood such asS.A.W. The full Durood of Sallallahualayhi wasallam should be written. Q. Is health insurance permissible?A. Health insurance and all kinds of insurance are haraam. Q. Why are rhino and elephantharaam?A. For the same reason that pig, fox,

    wolf, hyena, lion, tiger, snake, tor-toise, worms, insects and numerousthings are haraam. And, the only rea-son why these creations are haraam is

    because the Shariah says they areharaam. As for the reasons and wis-dom for these things being haraam weare not aware. As far as we are con-cerned these animals are haraam be-cause according to the Shariah theyare haraam. There are thousands of masaa-il of the Shariah whose reasonsare unknown to us. Q. Why do some Imaams reciteevery Friday during Fajr SalaatSurah Alif Laam Meem Sajdah?A. It is Sunnat to recite Surah Alif Laam Meem Sajdah in Fajr on Fri-days. However, this does not meanthat it should be adopted as a perma-nent practice to the exclusion of other Surahs. The Imaam should occasion-ally recite other Surahs as well.Q. Are Ferreros products halaal?A. Ferreros products are not halaal. Q. What should a woman do if herhusband dies during Hajj? Doesshe have to be in iddat in Makkah?And what about the remainder of Hajj?A. If the womans husband dies dur-ing Hajj, then she should completeher Hajj, and return immediately

    thereafter to spend the balance of her iddat in the marital home. Q. Is it permissible for a personwho performed Ifraad Hajj or Ta-mattu to perform Nafl Umrah?A. A person who has performed Hajj

    Ifraad may perform Nafl Umrah after the 13 th Zil Hajj. The Mutamatti mayalso perform Nafl Umrah whilst wait-ing to don Ihraam for Hajj.Q. Is the meaning of the Jewishterm, Kosher the same as the Islam-ic word Halaal ?A. In terms of the Shariah (IslamicLaw), Kosher does not mean Halaal which means permissible for Muslimconsumption. There are items whichmay be permissible for Jews, hencemarked Kosher, but which are not

    Halaal for Muslims. Furthermore, just as the term Halaal has been com-mercialized by unscrupulous Muslimswho operate the haraam certificateindustry by which carrion is ha-laalized, so too has the word Kosher

    become commercialized. The vastmajority of even halaal stamped

    processed foods sold commerciallyare also not Halaal. The prohibitionapplies with greater emphasis to foods

    prepa red by non-Mus lims andstamped with the Kosher logo. It isincumbent for Muslims to abstainfrom consuming all commercial Ko-

    sher products, and from all meat andchicken products sold as halaal by

    non-Muslims.Q. Please explain the Sufi conceptof Wahdatul Wujood. Salafis vehe-mently criticize the Sufis on the ba-sis of this concept.A. Salafis are spiritually barren andmorally bankrupt. They are a crudesect of crass materialists. Withouteven understanding the meaning of the term, they baselessly revile theAuliya.

    Wahdatul Wujood is a technicalterm of the Auliya. It means that allcreated things owe their existence tothe only One True Existent, namely,Allah Taala. Besides Him, there is noindependent existence. He is the oneand only true independent existence.This is all what is meant by this termwhich the ignorant Salafis have delib-erately misconstrued to defame andslander the Ulama and Auliya of Deo-

    band and the Auliya of Islam.

The Tabligh Jamaat is not a sect.Members from all Math-habs join theTabligh Jamaat to learn and propagatethe very basic teachings of Islam - theKalimah, Tahaarat, Salaat and Saum.The Tabligh Jamaat does not teachanything new. It teaches only theSunnah of Rasulullah (sallallahualayhi wasallam), and it concentrateson only the basic acts necessary for the daily life of the Muslim. They donot delve into any academic issues. Those who say that the Tabligh Ja-maat is a deviated sect are in grievouserror. You should join the Jamaat anddiscover for yourself what they teachto satisfy yourself. Q. Whose duty is it to pay theMehr?A. The Mehr has to be paid by the

    man who is getting married. It is hisobligation to pay the Mehr and it be-comes the property of the bride.Q. Is there any wedding engage-ment custom in Islam Besides theMehr, what else has to be paid?A. According to the Shariah there isnothing besides the Mehr to pay.There is no wedding engagement cus-tom. However, people have intro-duced many baseless practices whichhave no origin in Islam. Q. Is it permissible to wear leathersocks on top of ordinary socks?A. Khuffain (leather socks) may beworn over ordinary socks. Q. When should khuffain be puton? Must it be donned immediatelyafter Wudhu or could it be put onlater?A. The khuffain may be put on at anytime as long as one has wudhu. It isnot necessary to don the khuffain atthe time of making wudhu. Q. From when should the time forvalidity of masah be calculated af-ter donning khuffain? From thetime the khuffain are donned orfrom the time wudhu was made?A. The time of 24 hours for amuqeem (resident/not a traveller) or 72 hours for a musaafir is from thetime the wudhu breaks, not from thetime the khuffain are donned nor fromthe time one made wudhu. Whenwudhu breaks, then from that timewill the period be calculated.Q. My friend says that it is not nec-essary to recite Iqaamah in the left

    ear of the newborn child. He saysonly Athaan is Sunnah. Accordingto him a Saudi Aalim, ShaikhUthaymeen issued this fatwa. Is the

    Shaikh correct?A. It is Sunnat and necessary to recitethe Iqaamah in the left ear of the ba-

    jidul Haraam, will it be permissiblefor her to don her Niqaab?A. Normally it is not permissible for awoman to cover her face whilst per-forming Salaat in privacy. However,if there are ghair mahram males pre-sent, then it is necessary that she co-vers her face even whilst performingSalaat.Q. I have a large sum of haraammoney. How should this be dis-posed?A. There are different categories of haraam money. If the owner of theharaam money is traceable, then it isWaajib (compulsory) to return themoney to him/her, e.g. stolen propertyor interest taken from a debtor; good-will charged for an empty shop or for a house besides rent. Regarding some

    types of haraam money, the ownersare not traceable, e.g. money won ingambling. It is Waajib to give thistype of haraam money to the poor. Bank interest and insurance moneyare also in this category, i.e. it has to

    be given to the poor. Q. Fish, especially of the bigger spe-cies such as tuna are clubbed todeath after being caught in nets.Since it takes some time for the fishto die, the impatient fishermen hitthem with sticks to kill them. For the benefit of the honourable Muf-tiyaan-e-Kiraam we say in this re-gard that the determinant for practi-cal implement is to take into consid-eration the makhraj of the dischargeand the difficulty of discernment for the females.

    products of the banks with thedeception of Islamic nomen-clature. Halaalization of carrion haraam chickens and meat. Halaalization of sport onthe basis of it being physicalexercise. Halaalization of injuriousand poisonous contraceptiveson the basis of azal. Legalization of the interest

    penalty charge on late pay-ments on the basis of it being adeterrent for payment default.

    The contention that a divorcedecree issued by a secular

    court is a Shari Talaaq on the basis of the judge being theWakeel (agent) of the husband.These are some of the corrupt

    glaringly baseless that it is notexpected of even laymen to

    believe and accept such baatil.Allah Taala has endowed the

    Mumineen with adequate in-telligence and a pure con-science (provided carrion isnot devoured) to realize theexistence of some corruptionin the erroneous fatwas. Sincethe masses of Bani Israaeelfailed to utilize their naturalintelligence to distinguish be-tween Haqq and baatil, AllahTaala castigating them, saysin the Quraan Majeed: Theytake their scholars and their

    saints as gods besides Al-lah. Muslims are not sup-

    posed to become entrapped inthis same rut and rot in whichthe masses of Bani Israaeelwere mired.

    O NCE , Abdul Malik, theKhlaifah, wondered at the in-numerable Ahaadith whichHadhrat Abu Hurairah(radhiyallahu anhu) narrated.He conjectured that perhapsHadhrat Abu Hurairah(radhiyallahu anhu) para-

    In order to test AbuHurairahs memory, the Kha-lifah, invited him and manyother Sahaabah. The Khalifahhad concealed two persons

    behind a screen to record inwriting every Hadith whichHadhrat Abu Hurairah(radhiyallahu anhu) would benarrating. At that session Ha-d h r a t A b u H u r a i r a h(radhiyallahu anhu) narrated ahundred Ahaadith. The scribeswrote every word exactly aswas stated by Hadhrat AbuHurairah (radhiyallahu anhu).

    After one year, Abdul Ma-lik, again invited Hadhrat AbuHurairah (radhiyallahu anhu).The two scribes who had rec-orded the 100 Ahaadith wereagain present behind thescreen with their written notes.The Khalifah, addressing Ha-d h r a t A b u H u r a i r a h

    (radhiyallahu anhu) said:Hadhrat the last time I de-rived immense pleasure fromthe 100 Ahaadith you had nar-rated. I shall appreciate it if you will again narrate thesame 100 Ahaadith.

    Hadhrat Abu Hurairah(radhiyallahu anhu) com-menced the narration of theAhaadith. After he had com-

    pleted, the two writers wereamazed at the prodigiousmemory of Hadhrat AbuHurairah (radhiyallahu anhu).There was not a change of even a single word. HadhratAbu Hurairah (radhiyallahuanhu) had repeated the 100Ahaadith exactly as he hadnarrated them a year ago. Thiswas the wonderful bounty of memory which Allah Taalahad bestowed to the Muhad-ditheen.

Yet, Muslims de-vour such carrion unfit for even dogs and fit for only the shayaateen.Digesting carrion requires an enormous amount of digestive enzymeswhich the body is unable to provide. The undigested carrion meat andchicken rot in the intestines. This putrefaction leads to build-up of tox-ins (poisons) which give impetus for the flourishing of cancer cells. TheMashaaikh say: The stomach is the headquarters of disease.

    Cancer has acquired epidemic proportions in western society wherefood is a commercialized commodity laced with many poisons and filth.The spread of cancer in even the Muslim community is not surprising.There is no conundrum underlying the prevalence of cancer. The delugeof halaalized carrion chickens and other halaalized meat products is thecause of cancer and the other many diseases afflicting society.

    Muslims are required by the Shariah to abstain from all SANHA andMJC halaalized carrion chickens and meat products. In such abstention

    body and soul will find strength and health.

    What is the meaning of theSunnah? The following epi-sode will present a better un-derstanding of the meaning of the Sunnah.

    A Buzrug once came to Ha-dhrat Mujaddid Alf-e-Thaani(rahmatullah alayh) and said:I was in a state of Qabdh(spiritual depression) pertain-ing to Nisbat with Allah Taala for a number of years. I wentto Hadhrat Khwaajah BaaqiBillah (rahmatullah alayh) andcomplained of my state of Qabdh. By the tawajjuh(spiritual focus) and dua of Hadhrat Baaqi Billah my stateof Qabdh vanished and wasreplaced by the state of Bast (spiritual exhilaration). I im-

    plore you to also direct ta-wajjuh on me. HadhratKhwaajah (rahmatullah alayh)have entrusted all his khulafaand mureedeen to you.

    In response, Hadhrat Mu- j a d d i d A l f - e - T h a a n i(rahmatullah alayh) said: Ihave nothing besides Ittibaa-e-Sunnah (following the Sun-nah). This statement exer-cised such a profound effect onthe Buzrug that an extremelylofty spiritual haal (state)overcame him. The effect of

    his spiritual power and Nisbat caused the entire land to trem-

    ble. A tremor was felt through-out the land.

    H a d h r a t M u j a d d i d(rahmatullah alayh) instructeda mureed to bring his miswaak from the shelf. When the mi-swaak was brought, HadhratMujaadid took it and fixed itinto the ground. Immediately,the tremor ceased and alongwith it the spiritual state of theBuzrug terminated.

    Hadhrat Mujaddid Alf-e-Thaani (rahmatullah alayh)then commented: By your karaamat (miracle) the land of Sarhind trembles. If this Fa-qeer (referring to himself)makes Dua, then Insha-Allah,all the dead in Sarhind will

    become alive. However, mak-ing miswaak during Wudhuaccording to the Sunnah is in-finitely superior to both theseacts of Karaamat.

    This is the conception of theSunnah according to the Sa-haabah and the Auliya. Noth-ing is better and more meritori-ous than acting in accordancewith the Sunnah, regardless of the Fiqhi classification of theSunnah act, be it Mustahab or

    be it an Adab. The Sunnah of

    Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhiwasallam) in every detail is for

    practical implementation. TheSunnah is not for mere studyand for relegation to the ki-taabs

    Since the Madaaris no longer impart the correct knowledgeof the Sunnah, the Asaatizah

    themselves lacking in proper comprehension of the Sunnah,today we find even the Ulamafrowning askance when forgot-ten and dead aspects of theSunnah are revived. By Ulamain this context, is meant sin-cere Ulama. As far as the flot-sam of ulama-e-soo is con-cerned, they are beyond thescope of this naseehat. TheQuraan Majeed says: Nonebut the people of intelligence

    ponder (and derive lesson).

    Mujaddid Alf-e-Thaani wasthe Mujaddid (Reviver of the

    Deen) of the second Islamicmillennium. At the beginning of each century, Allah Taaladispatches a Mujaddid whose

    function it is to combat and weed out the accretions of bidah and baatil which havebecome attached to the Deenlike parasites.

    Q. I am a married womanwithout any children. Wehave been married for about10 years. After many at-tempts including one failedIVF cycle, we have embarkedon a second IVF cycle. Read-ing the insert of some stimu-latory injections that I havealready taken for 2 daysnow, have perturbed megreatly. I have therefore de-cided to write to you. Myquery is based on two points:1. Firstly, the permissibilityof In Vitro Fertilization(IVF) in my scenario stimu-lation for egg productionwith hormonal injection, eggretrieval, assisted fertiliza-tion in test tube, embryotransfer back and pregnancytest after 12 days?2. The permissibility of in-

    jecting oneself with hor-mones derived from human

    urine (trade name Menopur)and another hormonal injec-tion derived from geneticallyengineered hamster ovarycells (trade name Gonal F)?A. The IVF technique isharaam. It is not permissible tosubmit to the haraam, demean-ing and immoral tests andtechniques. The human urineand hamster hormones aggra-vate the prohibition. The Crea-tor is only Allah Taala. A souldestined to appear on earth will

    be created regardless of what isdone or not done. Conversely,if Allah Taala has decreed that

    there will be no children for you, then all the doctors of the

    world with all their techniqueswill be helpless. The Qudrat of Allah Taala cannot be thwart-ed by ways and means. And,while ways and means are nec-essary on earth, the Muslim isnot allowed to adopt haraammethods for the acquisition of halaal objectives. He may notconsume pork and carrion tosatisfy his hunger.

    Regarding children, theQuraan Majeed states withclarity and emphasis: Unto

    Allah belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. Hecreates whatever He wills. Hebestows females to whomever

    He wills, and He bestowsmales to whomever He wills,or He bestows to them maleand female. And, He makesbarren whomever He wills.Verily, He is The All-Knowing One, The All-Powerful One. (Aayat 50, Surah Ash-

    Shura).Just as we are bound toadopt lawful ways of earningour Rizq, so too is it incumbentto resort to only lawful andnatural means for acquiringoffspring. If after adoption of the lawful ways, the desiredresult and objective are notachieved, the Mumin under-stands that it is the Will of Al-lah Taala with which he/sheshould be satisfied. It is abso-lutely haraam to get yourself injected with the haraam filthyou have mentioned. In addi-tion the technique consists of

    other haraam factors as well.

    I never thought that I would see the day that Shaitaan will

    play with the Ulama likechildren play with balls. (Hadhrat Habeeb Ajmi)

    The fussaaq of the times of Jaahiliyyah had more haya(shame) than the Ulama of

    our time. (Abdul Azeez Bin Abi Rawaad)

    There is a treasure of naseehat in these warningsand admonition of the Auliyafor the Ulama of our age. TheUlama should reflect on their condition of fisq and fujoor,and worst, on their misdeedsof kitmaanul haq (concealingthe truth), and mutilating theShariah to achieve their n a f s a a n i a n d m u n d a n e

    objectives. The Ulama of thisage have become the toys andtools of shaitaan. Reflect andlament your condition.

    Tomorrow Maut will

    overtake you. It will then betoo late to make amends. Youwill depart with a heartsmitten with futile regret. MayAllah Taala save us from theevils lurking in our nafs andthe snares of Iblees.

    Question: In our Musjid wehave taleem every day after

    Isha Salaat at the front of the Musjid. We try to start imme-diately after Sunnah and Witr

    Salaat to ensure that as many people as possible participate. If we delay until the majorityhas not completed their Sa-laat, many will be deprived of the ijtimaa-ee benefit of the

    Taleem as they will simply gohome due to the delay.The Taleem commences in

    a low voice to prevent disturb-ing those performing Salaat.

    However, someone objected,saying that it is not permissi-ble to commence Taleemwhilst others are performing

    Salaat. The objection however contradicts the fact that an-nouncements regarding fund-r a i s i n g , p r o g r a m m e -announcements, etc. by the

    Imaam take place whilst musallis (latecomers) arecatching up with on the Fardhrakats they had missed.

    Please comment and explainthis issue.Answer: (1) There should be no taleemimmediately after the Fardh of Zuhr, Maghrib and Isha since it

    is Waajib to immediately com-mence the Sunnatul Muakka-dah after the short Dua. Insome Musaajid this Shari re-quirement is ignored and great-er importance is accorded tothe taleem than to the Sharicommand of Ittisaal, i.e. to per-form the Sunnats immediatelyafter the Fardh).(2) Taleem may commence

    after the Sunnat and Nafl Sa-laat. In this regard what wehave personally observed, isthat even before most musallishave completed even tworakats of Sunnatul Muakka-dah, e.g. after Magrib, the

    brother, goes to the front, facesthe Jamaat whilst 90% of themusallis are in Salaat, and be-gins with his announcement

    per ta in in g to Ta le em/Tableegh/Bayaan. He evencomments; Those who havecompleted Salaat should come

    forward. How can they havecompleted when he did notallow adequate time to performeven two rakats decently?Such an announcement at sucha juncture is undoubtedly verydisturbing and does distract the

This fossilization of theintellectual faculty is the con-sequence of the straitjacketinto which the brain is fitted bythe system of indoctrination of western educational institu-tions. Thus, it is seen that thevast majority of the westernintelligentsia dwells in an im-

    permeabl e frozen cocoonwhich precludes independentthinking, especially in issues of transcendental import whichIFS characters believe are sub-servient to the theories pro-

    pounded by their atheist mas-ters wallowing in kufr and ja-naabat.

    One of the serious effectsof IFS is the vermiculation of the sensorium. Whilst psychia-trists and the medical establish-ment as a whole have hithertofailed to provide a viable aetio-logical explanation for the typeof IFS which afflicts your

    brains, this malady in terms of aetiology poses no conundrumfor those who are experts in theIslamic sciences of the Quraanand Sunnah. IFS is the conse-quence of hidden kufr of whicheven the addicted person isunaware, nevertheless, it per-colates his thinking, speechand general lifestyle.

    A person afflicted withIFS, especially if she is a mod-ernist aunt, is incapable of comprehending simple Islamicfacts, as well as tangible issuesvisible to the naked eye andrequiring no intellectual per-ception for their acknowledge-ment, hence it constitutes aneedless extravagance in thedivine bounty of time to evenattempt a Shari or a rationalexplanation for a person withISF. However, since unwaryand simple folk are likely to bemisled into deception by thetwisted and convoluted logic

    pervading the arguments of theunfortunate IFS aunt, there is aneed to respond for their bene-fit.

    Firstly, responding to theaunts self-laudatory state-

    ments would be redundant anddemeaning to intelligence. Weshall therefore mirthfully by-

    pass her introductory drivel.Among the Ulama there are

    two classes: Ulama-e-Haqqand Ulama-e-Soo (Evil Ula-ma), the latter category having

    enslaved themselves to thedunya. The views of the ulamaof the dunya whose objectiveis monetary gain, are of nocognizance and cannot be pre-sented in defence of the incon-gruity which you have prof-fered, namely, the contradicto-ry approach to the prohibition.

    As far as the Ulama-e-Haqq are concerned, there isuniformity in their fatwa, viz.,the immoral western educa-tional system of colleges anduniversities, is haraam for bothgirls and boys. According tothe Ulama, it is not permissiblefor females to attend even theMusjid for Fardh Salaat, whenthey are even fully dressed inHijaabgear, where there is nointermingling of the sexes,where the atmosphere is one of holiness, and the evils and im-moralities of a university envi-

    ronment are totally absent. It istherefore quite logical to un-derstand that these Ulamacannever condone females at-tending the educational

    brothels which are known asuniversities. Hence, the chargeon this score is baseless andmisdirected.

    The prohibition is based ona variety of extremely harmfulfactors and morally and spiritu-ally detrimental consequencewhich lead to even effacementof Imaan. This naseehat is notmeant for such persons whose

    brains are fossilized and whosespiritual eyes are blind, for they are in abnegation of thefact that when the sun shines itis day time. Who can deny the

    preponderence of zina, inter-mingling of sexes, drugs, lewd-ism, immorally clad females(even Muslim females), - fisq,fujoor and even kufr at univer-sities? Who can honestly denythat universities are cauldronsof vice and evil? A prominentuniversity professor who haslectured for many years in anumber of universities, de-scribing the university scenar-

    io, writes:Within the university en-vironment our students are

    faced with a myriad of chal-lenges. Some of them includethe open marketing of zina and a lifestyle of complete immo-rality and immodesty. There

    are absolutely no restrictionson interactions between mem-bers of the opposite sex. In

    fact, they are encouraged to beas friendly and intimate as theywish to be. Unlike the work

    place, there are no unwrittenboundaries of respect betweenmen and women.

    On the other hand, one of the most devastating issues

    plaguing our universities to-day, is the growth of so manyorganizations that promoteharaam under the banner of

    Islam. Whether it is student organizations that are unmind-

    ful of basic Islamic issues likehijaab or salaah or the threat of deviant sects like the Shiahsor Ahmediyas, our young

    friends are constantly being misguided. Many of our broth-ers and sisters are under theimpression that they are carry-

    ing out acts of ibaadat whenin fact they are indulging inharaam .

    In short, the campus envi-ronment markets a lifestylethat is completely foreign and un-Islamic. The mode of dress,character, greed for moneyand complete disregard of any-thing religious are all charac-teristics of a secular, universityenvironment

    Islam in our lives is dying because the younger genera-tion is not prepared to livetheir lives as Muslims. Theyare influenced by a foreignlifestyle at school and universi-ty, and we as parents havedone little to assist in protect-ing or preparing them for suchdifficulties. Over time, our women lost their bashfulnessand the deen was removed

    from our hearts. This resulted in a new generation that has

    Muslim names, attended Mus-lim schools and (even) madras-ahs, can recite the Quraanand sometimes even speak Ara-bic, yet they are a generationwho do not believe in Islamwith their hearts. More of the

    Professors appraisal of thezina-lifestyle of universitiesappears elsewhere in these col-umns.

    The aforementioned com-ments are not the statements of a Molvi. The Professors frank appraisal should assist sincere

    Muslims to understand the fat-wa of prohibition. Whilst it isnot permissible for even Mus-lim males to attend such hot-

    beds of zina, the prohibitionhas greater emphasis for Mus-lim girls, and there should beno difficulty in understanding

    the greater emphasis.With regard to the issue of access to Muslim female doc-tors in the light of the prohibi-tion, the simple answer is thatwhen circumstances compel,then consumption of pork be-comes permissible to the de-gree of need. It is stupid to re-tort that if Muslims do not op-erate piggeries, how will theyobtain access to pork whenon the verge of death due tostarvation. Irrespective of themanner in which the pork be-comes available during thehour of dire need, it shall be

    acquired. The same applies toMuslim female doctors. Theyare the pork in the time of need. Furthermore, the ab-sence of Muslim female doc-tors is the lesser of the evils inrelation to the rotten zina andkufr university environment. Inthe absence of Muslim femaledoctors, the Shariah allows theservices of non-Muslim femaledoctors. If they too are unavail-able, then Muslim male doc-tors, and in their absence, theservices of non-Muslim maledoctors will be permissible.But, the respectable aunt suf-fering from IFS is not expectedto understand this simple logicand approach of the Shariah.

    As for the sustenance andmaintenance of females, it isIslamically irrational and not

    permissible to plunge theminto haraam, zina, fisq, fujoor and kufr when they are noteven affected with an eventwhich the IFS mind halluci-nates for the distant future anevent which may or may nothappen. Furthermore, the argu-ment raised by the IFS auntexhibits extreme deficiency of

    Imaan which requires the Mus-lim to believe that Allah Taalais the Sole Raaziq and thatRizq is predetermined andsealed, and that regardless of what is done or not done, our

    predestined Rizq will neither

    increase nor decrease by onemorsel or one cent. Denial of this fundamental doctrinewhich is integral to Imaan, ex-

    pels one from the fold of Is-lam.

    It is to inverse the naturalIslamic system of life com-

    providing for such womendoes not stop at only closefamily members. If the Asbaat relatives (relatives from thefathers side) of a destitutewoman refuse or are unable tofulfil their obligation, it willdevolve on other relatives,male and female, and if theytoo fail, then it is the duty of neighbours and ultimately of the entire Muslim community.

    Maintaining destitute fe-males is in fact a Waajib alalKifaayah obligation devolvingon the whole Muslim commu-nity. The argument that noindividual can order a man tomaintain a woman if he wishesnot to is the product of a ver-miculated brain smitten withthe IFS disease. A man of means to whom Allah Taalahas granted abundant wealth, isunder Shari compulsion to aiddestitute women. He will beguilty of a major sin if he re-fuses despite possessing themeans.

    As for a woman working tosustain herself during her id-dat, it is a case of consuming

    Q. The Ahlul Bidah in anarticle, backed up their mou-lood celebrations with sayings

    from some prominent scholarssuch as Ibn Hajr Qustulaani,

    Ibn Jauzi and others, and even Haji Imdaadullah, the

    Shaikh of Hadhrat Maulana Ashraf Ali Thanvi. What an-swer is there for this proof which the Barelwis cite?A. We are not the muqallideenof prominent scholars. Weare the Muqallideen of ImaamAbu Hanifah (rahmatullahalayh), and we follow the Sha-riah as it existed during the era

    of Khairul Quroon. The Shari-ah is the Deen whichRasulullah (sallallahu alayhiwasallam) and the Sahaabahtaught and practised. Innova-tions having a faade of ibaadat, which were introducedcenturies after Rasulullah(sallallahu alayhi wasallam),have no validity in terms of theShariah.

    Even if thousands of prominent scholars supportthe bidah of moulood, it willremain bidah sayyiah (evil innovation) . Ibaadat is whathad existed during KhairulQuroon and substantiated bythe Aimmah-e-Mujtahideen

    and imparted to posterity bythe Fuqaha of our Math-hab.

    We are not awed by thenames of the prominent schol-ars which the Qabar Pujaaris(grave worshippers) cite insubstantiation of their evil

    bidah of moulood which con-sists of acts of fisq, fujoor andshirk. The personal opinions of

    prominent scholars opinionsunsubstantiated by the Nusoosof the Shariah, remain theopinions of people, and re-gardless of the lofty stature of the prominent scholars, their opinions may not be hoisted onto the Ummah as if these acts

    are practices of the Sunnah or deeds commanded by the Sha-riah.

    If a moulood practice istotally bereft of any of the rub-

    bish actions with which theQabar Pujaaris adorn their sa-tanic exhibitions of merrymak-ing functions, such as the una-dulterated personal practice of Haji Imdaadullah (rahmatullahalayh), then too, it does notconstitute a Shari act of ibaadat which could be im-

    posed on others. In fact, it isnot permissible to invite othersto personal acts of devotioneven if such acts are devoid of any of the evil flotsam of theBidatis. Personal expressionsof devotion and love for

    Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhiwasallam) are to be restrictedto the privacy of the home by

    the individuals engaging inthem. They should not beflaunted as acts of Masnoonibaadat or presented to theUmmah as if they are deedscommanded by Rasulullah(sallallahu alayhi wasallam)and practised by the Sahaabah.

    Moulood is a baseless prac-tice which has no origin in theSunnah. The many acts of fan-fare, fun, singing, clowning,feasting and merrymaking,render the function haraam and

    participation in these bidah practices is haraam. The mou-lood practices in vogue, as

    prac tised by the Grave-

    Worshippers, should not beconfused with the simple and private act of Haji Imdaadullah

    (rahmatullah alayh).It will be salubrious for the

    Qabar Pujaaris to understandthat we are not members of Bani Israaeel whom theQuraan Majeed castigates:The take their (prominent)

    scholars and their saints as gods besides Allah Thatwas the practice of Bani Is-raaeel. We, the followers of Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhiwasallam) acquire our Deenfrom the Sahaabah via thetransmission Chain of ImaamAbu Hanifah (rahmatullahalayh). Our Islam does not

    Among the worst accusationswhich the Shi'i priests levelagains t Hadhra t Umar (radhiyallahu anhu) is thecharge that he interpolated in

    the Qur'aan Shareef. On the basis of this slander againstHadhrat Umar (radhiyallahuanhu), the Shiahs believe thatthe Qur'aan which we havenow is not the authenticQur'aan. The true Qur'aan, ac-cording to official Shi'i belief,will be brought by ImaamMahdi when he appears fromhis cave of concealment ac-cording to Shi'i fabrication.
