  • A Day to Celebrate by Sorors Diane Neal & Gwendolyn Holland-Johnson

    Soror Ruby Stroman’s 98th birthday was celebrated via Zoom on Wednesday, January 20th.It was a very special occasion for her because she was also celebrating 75 years in Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. The event was organized by Sorors, Lucille Kannick, Michele Dallas, Marion Payne, Joyce Brown Major and Diane Neal. Soror Pamela Redmon invited our 16th National President, Dr. Thelma T. Daley. Soror Stroman received a beautiful bouquet of flowers from Sorors Dr. Patricia Montgomery, Amber Blakes and Gwendolyn Holland-Johnson. Birthday greetings were offered by many including our Past National President Thelma T. Daley and Lucille

    Kannick, President of HHIBAC. Soror Latrice Campbell offered the prayer and many HHIBAC Sorors along with Queens Alumnae Chapter Sorors were in attendance. The Reverend and Mrs. Simmons (Pastor Emeritus, St Albans Congregational Church, St Albans, NY) were also present for the celebration. Over thirty guests were on the 'Virtual Zoom Celebration’. This occasion was also special because it marked the inauguration of the 46th President of the United States Joseph R. Soror Stroman was presented her plaque for 75 Years in the Sorority along with a scrumptious looking cake. Soror Stroman was appointed by Soror Dr Thelma T. • A Psalm for Giving Grateful Praise

    Psalm 100 (NIV)

    1. Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth

    2 Worship the Lord with gladness;     come before him with joyful songs.

    3 Know that the Lord is God.     It is he who made us, and we are his,

        we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.

    4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving     and his courts with praise;

        give thanks to him and praise his name.

    5 For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;     his faithfulness continues through all generations.
