Dear Prospective Member:

Thank you for your interest in joining the Northern Virginia Business and Professional

Women’s Club (NOVA BPW CLUB) of the National Association of Negro Business and

Professional Women’s Clubs (NANBPWC), Incorporated.

In 1935, the NANBPWC, Inc. was founded to create and develop opportunities for

Negro women in business and the professions. We founded our club to continue the

great work of those trailblazers for the last 80 years.

Our NOVA BPW Club promises a wealth of wisdom to be gained from our

multigenerational membership. We are currently 60% Traditionalists/Baby Boomers

and 40% Gen Xers/Millennials with 67% of our members in the professions and 33%

leading their own business ventures.

You will also have unlimited opportunities to build marketable skills and foster

impactful relationships with your club sisters while with the surrounding community,

organizations, and businesses in the Fairfax, Loudoun, and Prince William areas by

serving on one of our 16 committees or in one of our eight (8) program focus areas.

Your membership will truly be what you make it!

We are proud to offer several membership options for women ages 12 and older. One

is sure to fit your needs or the needs of your family and friends. For your convenience,

this: when you join NOVA BPW Club you become part of a family of 2700+ women in

149 clubs across the nation.

PROSPECTIVE MEMBER PACKET

This packet contains the following documents:

1. NOVA BPW Club Brochure

2. New Membership Application (Members and Associates)

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Complete the application, print out, sign in INK, and date.

a. The fields may be typed and completed online.

b. However, we must receive a copy that you printed out and physically

signed in ink. * * * No exceptions. * * *

2. Provide a copy of your college degree or certification(s).

a. Professional Category: A professional letter can be presented in lieu of

a degree or certificate.

b. Business Owners: provide a copy of your business license/registration.

3. Make three (3) copies of each page of documentation from #1.

4. Mail original signed application and 3 copies of all documents to:

5. We will notify you when your packet is received and request any additional information as

needed.

6. Once reviewed, your packet will be presented for a vote to approve at the next scheduled

monthly meetings of the Executive Board and General Membership. You will receive notification

of the final decision. Then the documents will be sent to district and national for acceptance and

recording. Please Note: The entire process will take 30-40 days depending on the date that your

packet is received.
