Overview This is the 3G network evaluation report for indoor site at Khanh Hoa. This report for pre-swap,

each in building site will has one report. Sites total in Khanh Hoa has 8 clusters & 130 sites with 3

1 Introduction

1.1 Evaluation Purposes

• Reviews quality and truthful value for current 3G network of VMS at Khanh Hoa

province before swap.

• Compare evaluator result before swap and after swap. Requirement after swap

network quality must good better or equivalent current network.

• Looking for existing problems as coverage, quality of service, capacity and others.

Make suggestion, solution to solve problems and improve network.

1.2 Evaluation Methods

• With various measurement and analysis methods such as CQT testing, DT testing,

OMC data analyzing, and analyzing representative network problems and typical

subscriber complaints, test and evaluate the network at multiple points, along

multiple lines and in multiple surfaces within the service area thus guaranteeing a

full and deep understanding on the current network quality.

• Co-operate ZTE engineer & VMS3 engineer so as to comparing the performance of

WCDMA networks and confirm.

3.3 In building information

Khanh Hoa has 3 sites of 3G in-building sites. All belong to Cluster 7. The sites information is

shown as Table 1

3.4 Inbuilding Test: YASAKA Hotel

This report of Site in YaSaKa Hotel, there are 11 floors in YaSaKa hotel, they include:

• Ground Floor.

• 1st Floor: Meeting Room.

3.5 Test Tools

ZTE uses the Nemo software for Drive Test solution to acquire received downlink signal level and

received quality for WCDMA system. The test tools are shown as below:

Software analyse : Nemo Analyze

WCDMA : Samsung U800 / Samsung U900

HSDPA/HSUPA: ZTE MF-637 / HW E173U-1

Scanner: PcTel

GPS type : Garmin 18 USB / GlobalSat BU-353 / RoyalTek RGM-3600

Software for Scanner : Nemo Outdoor

2 Test Procedure: Idle Test

• Make map of the routes in building, and drive test by walking cross point already

choose.

• Prepare the required MS and number of floors will test include the important floors as

like as: Ground floor, floor has the meeting room, floor has restaurant, Bar, Party

rooms, and corridor of building, center floor, higher floor.

• Starting from the origination point, use the UMTS idle data collection software NEMO

to record the test values.

• After testing, calculate network Ec/Io and RSCP Coverage Ratio according to test

data.

3 Coverage and Quality Performance

According to information of building, and request items from the Test Procedure (index 2).

In YaSaKa hotel, we will test 6 floors:

Ground Floor.

1st Floor: Meeting Room.

2nd Floor: Meeting Room.

3RD – 10Th Floors: Guest Rooms. They will choose 2 floors of them, and our report

they are 4th and 6th floors.

From result, we find out that, signal is good in all floors.
