Here’s all you need to know to get a Vitamix: First of all you won’t regret investing in one. The Vitamix is the best high-speed blender out there. It’s the only one I recommend. Don’t tuck it away in a cabinet. Leave it on your counter and it will become your go-to kitchen tool when it comes to whipping together a healthy snack or meal. On the Vitamix.com site you’ll see a lot of choices of Vitamix machines. I hightly encourage you to go through the official Vitamix.com site. Their customer service is phenomenal. Here are the ones I recommend from most expensive to least: Do not be tempted by the 2 speeds – you want variable speed. Also, the new “personal sizes” are alluring, but too small for a big green smoothie or family cooking. The top of the line Vitamix is the 7500: It’s very nice because it’s not as tall and it’s quieter. Then there’s the 5200: This is the one I’ve had for over 15 years The 5200 is also called the Vitamix-TurboBlend-VS They are the same machine - just different recipe books come with it. Reconditioned 5200 or 7500 machine: This is great way to buy a Vitamix at a reduced rate. It’s the same amazing machine it’s just that it’s been returned or used as a demo. They check it out thoroughly and make sure it’s working at peak performance. Look under the “specials” tab for a reconditioned machine. If you choose the 5200 or the VS be sure to order the set of 3 long white spatulas. They are $7 and longer than the average spatula so they make working with the Vitamix easy.
