Whole server replication
Means next to no management requirements of the DR environment as all Operating System and
Application settings are replicated as they change in addition to the data.
Real-time - not snapshot
Many products offer snapshot based replication rather than real-time. This adds a time delay and
increases the amount of potential data lost. These products also tend to use large amounts of Disk
I/O and CPU due to running comparison checks on all the protected data.

Byte level replication
We only replicate changes as they happen, and we do this at the smallest level (byte level). When
monitoring at a block level it is not possible to be transitionally aware which means no guarantee of
data, we are able to guarantee data integrity and write order preservation.
Performance
The majority of replication products on the market monitor at block level using large amounts of disk
I/O or CPU usage, causing a performance overhead. Utilising a patented asynchronous solution we
do not hold up the production servers in order to replicate and use essential resources needed for
day to day operations.
Not dependant on large amounts of bandwidth
Products offering block level replication (Often hardware based and basic software packages) require
vastly larger communication lines and have a larger performance over-head. The minimal bandwidth
requirement and multitude of data transfer management capabilities allows us to provide our solutions
regardless of geographical location and communication service technologies / availability.

Hardware independent
Not dependant on a hardware technology partner meaning your storage can be local, NAS, SAN,
virtualised or physical. This allows for replication between different models and vendors appliances.
Should you the customer choose a different in-house hardware provider this would not impact your
DR solution.
Support for many application and operating system platforms
The technology ensures data integrity for both flat file and database data. All applications on a
Windows platform are supported, as well as various Linux / UNIX platforms such as Redhat, CentOS
and HPUX and Novell Systems.
