The Embassy of The United States emits

different visas depending on the particular

case of each individual.

The two most common types of visa are

tourist or business visas B1 / B2.

B1 Visa is

designed for

temporary

business travel

The B2 visa is

designed for tourist

activities

1. Select

the type of

visa

2. Fill out the DS-160

Application for

Nonimmigrant Visa. This

form is available online in

English with translation

into Spanish. Once filled

out, print the

"Confirmation Sheet"

with the barcode.

3.Cancel rights visa

application and

schedule

appointments to

attend for interview

and CAS

4. Report to the CAS you

selected (Bogota or

Medellin) on the date and

time of your appointment,

for shooting and prints.

Visa applicants must

submit their current

passport and

confirmation sheet DS-

160.

5. Report to the

Immigrant Visa Unit

of the US Embassy

in Bogota on the

date and time of

your appointment

6. Pick up your

passport with

visa at the DHL

office or CAS that

you selected in

Step 3

If you applied for a tourist

or business visa B1 / B2

and his request was

rejected, remember that it

is NOT a permanent

rejection. You may apply

again after six months
