Proposed Subdivision (Re-Subdivision) and Sale of Land 1-5 / 10 Jean Street, Longwood Proposed Management of Shadforth Reserve, Violet Town, by Violet Town Community House Council is inviting submissions under Section 223 of the Local Government Act 1989 on the following: 1-5/10 Jean Street, Longwood 1. Council is proposing to re-subdivide the above property to make it market ready for sale, including placing an encumbrance on the title to enforce the re-placement and proper siting of a new and quality functional waste treatment system. 2. Council is proposing to sell the above property based on the current market value. Council has resolved to sell the property, which is deemed to be surplus to Council’s needs due to the termination of the current lease with the Department of Human Services. Shadforth Reserve The Violet Town Golf Club has advised Council of its decision to conclude its Committee of Management agreement, and the Violet Town Community House Committee has expressed interest in managing the site. Council is proposing that the Violet Town Community House Committee become managers all in accordance with a standard licence agreement, and that Council continue to provide $3,000 support annually by way of site mowing work or cash.
