Requirements

We recommend practices use a smart phone or tablet, either Apple or Android for

video consultations.

Practices not on Cloud or Citrix can use webcam enabled PC via Google Chrome.

Introduction

The ManageMyHealth™ Video Consultation feature is a specialized type of

telemedicine that uses technology to provide real-time visual and audio patient

assessment at a distance.

Once the Video consultation setup is complete on ManageMyHealth, you can start

using ManageMyHealth video consultations feature.

1. Inviting Patients 1.1. Sending a Secure mail invitation for a Video Consultation (On Demand)

The patient must be active on the palette.

Click on the ‘MMH Compose Mail’ icon on the toolbar. This will only be available if the

patient is registered for MMH (the Manage My Health icon will be green).

1.1.1 For Medtech32 Practices

1.1.2. For Medtech Evolution Practices


1 - In the Compose Email screen please select the service name ‘Invite for Video

Consultation’.

2 – Select the Location and Provider (these invitations can also be created by

reception staff on behalf of the provider).

3 - Select the intended ‘Appointment Date and time’ (For most secure messaging

invitations the time will be now – set the time as after the current time).

4 – Check the message and update if required.

Once the details have been reviewed –Click on ‘Send Invite’. This will send an invitation

to the patient via Manage My Health.

2. Sending an SMS invite for a Video Consultation The patient must be active on the palette.

2.1. For MedTech32 Practices

1. Click on the ManageMyHealth menu and select ‘Register Patient’.

2. The Patient Registration Form will open.

2.2. For Medtech Evolution practices

1. Click on the ManageMyHealth tab and select ‘Register Patient’.

2. The Patient Registration Form will open.


3. Click on ‘Invite for Video Consult’ Green button at the bottom of the screen.

4. The SMS Invite for Video Consultation form shown below will open.

1. The Patient Name, Date of Birth, NHI will pre-populate.

2. You will need to select the ‘Location’ (if the practice has more than one location).

3. From the drop down, select the Provider that the Video Consultation is with.

4. Enter the Appointment Date, Time and Duration.

5. If the patient has a Mobile Number in the Patient Register (F3), this will pre-populate.

If you wish to send the SMS to a different mobile number, select ‘Other Mobile Number’

and enter the Mobile number.

6. If you wish to enter a short message enter it in the text box in the SMS Text field.

7. Click on ‘Send Invite via SMS’ button to the send the Invitation.

Once you click on Ok, the patient will receive an SMS invite for Video consultation – the

text is below.

This will also be shown in the Daily Record for the patient to indicate that an invitation

was sent. On opening this entry a PDF of the invitation will be visible. This can be sent to

the patient via email if they do not have a mobile device.


3.Joining a Video Consultation 3.1. Joining a Video consultation via ManageMyHealth app

(Android or Apple Device)

Log into the Manage My Health app on your device.

Ensure you are logged in using your Provider login issued by

your practice.

Click on the Video Consultation icon

1.You will see a list of your scheduled consultations.

2.Select the one you wish to join and click on Start Video

Consultation.

3.Once you see the preview of yourself on the screen please

click on the green phone icon at the top of the screen to

begin the consultation


3.2. Joining a video consultation via the Manage My Health Portal (Laptop using Google Chrome)

1. Login to the Manage My Health portal.

2. Under the Practice Menu click on ‘Video Consultation’.


1. Select the Consultation you would like to start and click on the Green Video icon.

2. Click Yes when prompted to start the video call.

3. Once you see the preview of yourself on the screen please click on the green

phone icon at the top of the screen to begin the consultation.
