Growing Manual PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY

Growing SOP STEP 1: GERMINATION (2 options) Option 1:

1. Get ready of your filter bags, seeds,

potting mix and net cups.

2. Fill up 1/2 of your filter bag with

potting mix.

3. Then, put the filled filter bag into the

net cup.

4. Repeat Step 2 to 3 for 16 times.

5. Place them in a shallow tray.

6. Then, put 2-3 seeds into the filter

bag.

7. Water them gently. Just to keep

them moist.

8. Then, place them at a warm and shady

area.

9. Once seeds are sprouted, you may set

up Indoor Grow Lights (Good for sprouting

true leaves but not growing veggies)/ Directly

put them to a shiny area.

*** The Grow lights should be about 12 inches

above the trays. This process can take 4 to 7

days. The average height for a finished

microgreen is a couple inches. Turn it on for 12

hours per day.

10. Once two of their true leaves are

established, it’s time to transfer them

to the system. (~7-10 days)

11. After all, place the net cups into the system. ***Make sure the net cup is being placed around 45 ° to

ensure it touches water. Encourage to have only

1 plant per net cup, MAX 2-3. This is to avoid

overcrowded situation and disease infection.

Refer to STEP 3……

Option 2:

1. Prepare an Ice cream tray/ Shallow tray /

Germination tray. (Either one)

2. Spread the potting mix evenly on the tray.

(~ 1/2 of the potting mix given)

*** Potting mix and seeds given are more

than enough. DON’T have to use all.

3. Spread seeds evenly on tray

*** You only have to germinate ~40 seeds,

DON’T have to use all)

4. Then, cover the seeds with a thin layer of

potting mix

5. Gently water your seedlings. Just to keep

them moist but not wet.

6. Leave it to a warm and shady place. Keep

them moist by watering once a few days. ***If the surrounding temperature is high, you might have

to water once a day.

7. Once seeds are sprouted, relocate the tray to

a shiny area for sunlight exposure / Install

Indoor Grow Lights (Kindly refer back to Page 4).

(~3-5 days)

8. Once two of their true leaves are

established, it’s time to transfer them to the

system. (~7-10 days)

STEP 2: TRANSPLANTING 1. Gently wet your seedlings with water to

make it loose enough during transplanting.

2. Get your net cups, filter bags and potting mix

ready.

3. Use a teaspoon to fill up 1/2 of your teabag

with potting mix.

4. Gently pull out one of the seedlings from the

tray and put it into the filter bag *****Make sure not to hurt the roots, if not they

might undergo transplant shock.

5. Then, put the filter bag into net cup.

***Encourage to have only 1 plant per net cup, MAX 2-3 plants. This is to avoid overcrowded

situation and disease infection.

6. After all, place the net cups into the system.

***Make sure the net cup is being placed 45 ° to ensure it touches water.

STEP 3: FERTILISING ***Amount applied might differ from the amount stated below

(Based on the reading of TDS meter: Nutrient level meter)

How to dilute your dry fertilizer??? 1. Simply fill up HALF of your VFERT bottle with tap water.

2. Shake the bottle well until you don’t hear any “substance

noise”. This means your dry fertilizer has been diluted

completely.

3. Directly pour VFERT into the water tank once a week. (Kindly

refer to the table below for the estimated proportion needed

per week.)

**May filter out the undissolved particles to prevent any

blockages.

* Fertilizer is given from low level to high level according to plant

size.

* Please continue to apply 40ml of fertilizer per week if your

vegetables are not ready to harvest after 4th applied.

STEP 4: HARVESTING Majority of the vegetables are ready for harvesting

~ 30 days period of time.

Warning notes:

Do not pour any hard substance into the

tank. The system might get clogged and

causes damage to the pump. (Please filter out the undissolved substance if VFERT is

not fully diluted)

Important!!!! Things to take notes • Please refill your water tank often to maintain

a balance nutrient and pH level.

• Please make sure your vegetables are given

adequate sunlight.

• Fertilizer ratio: Water ratio 1:200.

• Rainwater droplets is good for plants.
