Welcome to FIGARO version 6

FIGARO is the most comprehensive test- and support program ever developed to the Ericsson AXE system. The program benefits by a modern and user friendly Windows® interface, easy to use also for inexperienced PC-users. It provides an integrated environment with proficient tools and managers, inter-working with an advanced terminal emulator. Tools and managers can be customized according to your preferences and needs, enabling you to solve almost any test- and support job - rational and efficient. Because the program can generate 98% of all commands required by a test- and support technician, working with APZ, GSD, EMG and IOG, extension, conversion or function change is easy, and there is no need to waste time finding parameters and examining fault codes. The risk of sending wrong commands or parameters is minimized, allowing you to deliver excellent work without disturbing subscribers and

maintenance staff. Hot keys and shortcuts are using WinFIOL and MS-Word® layout, making program zapping easy. Log files and command files are named automatically, according to predefined rules, everywhere in the program, with logical and unique names, saving all your work and documentation for later use, with a minimum of file handling.

Main Window

FIGARO offers a standard Windows user interface with drop down menus, customizable panels and a desktop area normally occupied by the main terminal. The menus give access to all functions and managers. Hot keys and toolbars provide speed access to most used features. Panels can be hidden if more desktop space is needed, but if visible, they give information about pending tasks, open files, current command etc. The terminal window holds up to 2500 lines, and text search is optional. One or more lines can be marked as a block, which is subject of printing, saving to file or input to ALEX. Terminal contents can be saved on exit and reloaded on program start. To mark a block, click with the mouse where the block shall start, hold the Shift button down while clicking where the block shall end. If you right click over a command the hole command becomes selected and is subject of dragging to the command editor or retransmission by pressing the Line button.. The command panel, at the bottom of the form, is the place where you do all work with manual typing of commands. To make life easier, you can benefit of a lot of sophisticated aids as for instance: Easy access to save- and loadable command history list - holding up to 1000 commands with various recall options. Six sets of predefined - but customizable userkeys with automatic parameter setting. Automatic syntax analysis of commands, prior to execution with logfile option. If “>“ is appended to a command, the response will be logged to a file named according to the expected filename in the ToolBox, if the printout has to be regenerated or examined. Syntax of logfile name is [Command_AXEname.LOG ] Both the terminal window and the command panel can be customized concerning colors and fonts. The hint panel gives useful hints and information about keyboard settings, date, time and terminal (I/O). Online help is available all over the program using F1-key or Help-buttons

Icon Shortcut Command Editor Buttons (continued)

Inhibit a command.

F10 Open logfile using File Manager or close currently open logfile. Use drop down menu

to customize settings.

Enable or disable Syntax Analysis function. Syntax analysis adds missing semicolon,

deletes text after semicolon, unused space and comments. Note! Syntax analysis is global and affects all transmission of commands towards AXE from editors and managers. It’s recommended to disable the feature while working with FILUTIL, whereas work with TEST SYSTEM and program corrections normally is possible with the feature enabled.

Enable or disable Auto Lookup feature. When the function is enabled, an incremental

search is performed from the command history, to recall previously sent commands.

Enable or disable Slaveprinter function. It’s recommended printing selected text from

terminal window instead of using slave printer. Use drop down menu to customize settings.

Transfer command editor contents to the Task Manager, for delayed execution.

Toggle Auto Resend option. If a command responds with “FUNCTION BUSY”, it’s

repeated until acceptance or Auto Resend function is disabled. Use drop down menu to toggle auto resend of user ID and password option.

Toggle Local Mode. Transmit command MCLOC or EXIT.

Toggle CPT Mode: Transmit command PTCOI or PTCOE. Use drop down menu to

select APZ type. (Only required, if you work with CPT commands)

Switch between buffered transmission and TTY-transmission. (IOG11/20-APN)

Note! Not valid using IOIM, MTU or TCP/IP protocol.

Select Userkey set from drop down menu or click to open dialog with access to userkey

editor. User defined commands are available from the combo box attached to the command editor or by pressing the hot keys Ctrl + F1..12 when command editor has focus. Note! Empty parameter fields are filled, if the parameter is known. Valid for DATE, TIME, DAY, EMG, DIP, SDIP, SNT, IO, POS and EXCHANGE parameters

Color and Font Settings

Use the Color and Font Settings dialog to customize the terminal and command editor appearance. Use the button or Options | Color and Font menu item to open the dialog. The terminal is divided into seven color items, which can be set individually. Text and Background are mandatory items, and the checkboxes have no effect. The other five items will have the same color as the Text, unless you mark the checkboxes, then they will have the color from the corresponding color bar. Click on the item caption to open the color picker and select the desired color for the item. If you want the Headings to be invisible, simply select the background color for the item. The Custom items will affect any received line containing one of the slogans, if checked. The slogans are subject of editing. Note that terminal colors are disabled using the Fast TCP terminal option.

Beware not to select a Text color used as background anywhere in the program, because copy and paste via the clipboard, will make the text disappear. The Command Editor Colors are divided into three items and works exactly like the Terminal items. Clicking on one of the font panels, will open the font picker, and you can select any installed font and their characteristics (italics, underlined etc.). It's recommended to use a fixed font to obtain nice columns in the printouts, and a useful font named "FIGARO FIXED" is installed with the program and used as default. Click on the Dialogs Background panel to select your desired color for various dialogs, but not managers. Default colors and fonts are installed for each item, and you can always retrieve these by pressing one of the Default buttons. No change will take effect until you press the button.

Configuration

Use the radio buttons and checkboxes on Port / Protocol, Baud Rates, Parity / Stop bits tabsheets, to set transmission parameters as desired. Press the Default button to set all transmission parameters to default position for each protocol, with one mouse click. Now you only have to change settings, if your current IOG20 session alters from 19200 baud – IOG11 from 9600 – TTY session alters from 4800 – MTU session from 1200 baud and IOIM session from 300 baud. The Free / Seize button enables you to free or seize the selected COM-port, for access from other applications using MS-Windows® multitasking. COM-state LED turns green when seized by FIGARO, which is default; otherwise it’s red. On Language tabsheet, you can choose between nine different languages. The choice affects serial transmission of national 8 bits ASCII-characters, by translating them into an unused 7 bits character.

TCP/IP Tabsheet After selection of TCP / IP protocol from the Protocol tabsheet, you have to set the port and IP address of the desired host, and connect your client socket to this host. If available, FIGARO is delivered with a complete database containing all host addresses in your Telnet. The AXE field performs an incremental search in the database as you enter characters, and the host field is updated every time a matching host is found. Just press the Connect button to open an IP session, and hopefully the AXE will answer with usercode / password request and optionally NVT request. To add or delete a host item, click anywhere in the grid until the cell turns into a dotted rectangle, and press Ctrl-Ins to add or Ctrl-Del to delete an item. Edit a new blank cell or any other cell with Host or IP

Address information, and click the Host title cell to perform an ascending alphabetic sorting. The changes can be saved manually pressing the Save button or automatically on exit, if Config | Settings | Auto Settings | Save is turned on. If you want a special logOn to AXE, (e. g. to CP-SB) change the port settings by selecting one of the available values from the combobox. The hint balloon on the Port field can help you to remember the offset.

Each set has a maximum of 12 commands with corresponding hotkeys Ctrl-F1..Ctrl-F12, when the command editor has focus. The commands are also visible and selectable from the combo box attached to the command editor (rightmost arrow). The Config Userkeys dialog is opened by clicking the icon, and allows you to edit any command and Save all sets to the file FIGARO.KEY, from where they are loaded on program start. To edit a command, simply click it slowly twice or press spacebar to transform the line into an editor, perform the edit and press Enter to finalize the operation. If Options | Config | Auto Save is enabled, the same set will be active next time you start

FIGARO, otherwise the topmost tabsheet from last Save operation will be active. Pressing the Ok button will force the topmost tabsheet; to represent the active userkey set. Note! Parameter values can be left empty and FIGARO will try to insert a relevant value at runtime.

FIGARO Editor

FIGARO provides a powerful integrated megabyte editor, with direct access to AXE port and useful formatting and modification options, designed to serve any demand concerning AXE commands and printouts. The editor works with both ASCII text format and Rich Text Format. (Each character can be formatted individually with own font, size, color, bold, italics, underline etc.) Note! During load and save operations, rich text format is valid only if file extension is .RTF, all other extensions are considered as normal ASCII text format. RTF-files can be imported / exported both by MicroSoft-Word and FIGARO. Old MS-DOS® and WinFIOL files can be edited due to a code page switch option. (Modify | Toggle Charset menu item) Import and export of UNIX formatted files is possible. Unlimited editors can be open simultaneously, with individual toolbar and “pop up” menu attached. The pop up menu corresponds to the Edit drop down menu. (Right click your mouse anywhere in the editor to activate the Pop up menu) Editor contents can be transmitted to the connected AXE-port as a file (F6) or as a marked block (F7) or line by line (F8). Transmission of multiple commands is performed by the Transmit Manager. Blocks are marked by mouse dragging or hot keys from the pop up menu. The status line at the bottom of the editor gives information about cursor position and modification status. The editor provides automatic URL detection, and turns the URL into a blue underlined font ready to click for Internet / intranet access.

Task Manager

Use the Task Manager to handle all time-delayed functions.

Following functions can be delayed • Transmission of single command (Any valid command) • Transmission of a command file (.CMD or .C3? files) • Opening of a log file (.LOG files) • Execution of a program. (.EXE, .COM or .BAT files) Commands can be transferred from command editor to the Task Manager, where desired execution time can be adjusted. Transmit files, log files and executable files can be transferred from the File Manager to the Task Manager. Commands can be entered and appended the task table, and you can browse for files to add using the file browser. The icon is global access to the Task Manager. Information about pending task, next task and next time is always visible, if the Task Panel, above the Terminal Window, is visible. You can delete items from the task table by marking it, and pressing the Erase Item button. The entire table can be cleared using the Clear List button. Note, that no task is executed while the Task Manager is open, and closing the manager by pressing the Cancel button, will clear the manager. To activate the timer and close the manager, press the Activate List button.

Command Manager

The Command Manager is designed to handle any kind of text file as a command file. A sophisticated compress function allows you to erase all text, not part of a valid AXE-command. (E.g. comments, headings or command responses in a .LOC-file) Commands can be syntax analyzed for needless space and proceeding / subsequent characters, and broken commands can be fixed. The real benefit of the manager is the ability to Tag / UnTag the commands, either manually by clicking the checkbox left to the commands or by use of the panel located in the lower right corner of the form. If you e.g. wants to handle alarm call bookings separately by use of the ToolBox | APT | SUACP tool, then first tag All commands and then untag Per wildcard the text string “SUAC”, before you press the Transmit tagged button. Most used wildcards are available from the combo box attached to the edit field. Tagged commands can be transmitted as a block, saved to a file, moved to an editor or the Parameter Manager. Single commands and the entire table, can be transmitted too. Transmission of single commands from the table or the build in command editor can be investigated in the terminal window, whereas transmission of several commands is performed by the Transmit Manager. The command editor allows manual input of any command, turning the manager into an independent tool, particular useful when handling AXE-commandlog. A combo box is attached to the command editor where recent sent commands are stored and can be recalled using ↑↓ keys. An information panel informs you about number of commands, tagged commands and loaded file. Pressing SYBFP-button forces the manager to fetch information about commandlog subfile to execute after SYSTEM RELOAD. When this information is available the IOFAT-button becomes active, and a press will start reading the actual subfile, and build the command table simultaneously. Now it is easy to handle and activate the commandlog.

SAE Manager

The SAE Manager offers a unique way to handle Size Alteration Events. During load of a logfile containing either an SAAEP-printout or SAAII-commands, the grid cells are filled with information about each Event represented in the logfile. A particular Event can be found using Search Up –Down or -Global function, by entering a value and / or a BLOCK name to the fields and press one of the buttons. When found, all information from the underlying Recommendation grid are visible on the information panel, and the Event can be changed to recommended - or desired value with one mouse click, even if it has to be changed in small steps. The manager determines, whereas it is an increase or a decrease. When changed, the cell row is indent marked with a * and the previous value is preserved for use in reports.

The grid can be sorted according to your preferences by a click on the title cell. The recommendation grid contains application information about each Event, and is subject of change according to local terms and rules. Information from the Foundations panel is used in formulas when calculating the recommendations, and they are updated when a base Event is changed. Recommendation grid contents can be saved in a file named FIGARO.SAE and Event grid contents can be saved in a file with extension .SAM for continued work or report generation later. The communication can be watched on the build in terminal. Sent commands can be recalled from the combo box attached to the command editor, using the ↑↓ keys. After finished work you can change exchange ID, make a new backup using the command buttons, and make various reports to your administration using the build in Report Generator.

Make SAE report SAE reports are generated on basis of Event grid contents from the SAE Manager. If an Event matches the selected Event type and Block / NI mask, it’s included in the report. Format and destination of the report are selected by checking the radio buttons on the form. Check the Incl. Rec. box to add recommended values to the report, but note that it’ll increase the progress time considerably. Simply press the button to generate the report.

Grids

STDEP, SUSCP- and SUPXP- grids contains all actual parameters and administration data concerning each subscriber to convert. Device numbers are currently not modified with conversion factors, but certain categories are added or deleted. E.g. default appended categories, later deleted manually. Cell data is not subject of modification, but command output can be transferred to an editor before transmission. Tabsheet captions alter when switching between PSTN / POTS and ISDN-E mode.

Found Tabsheet The “Found” tabsheet contains useful statistic information’s designed for comparison with “Made” tabsheet and Transmit Manager information. All warnings must be examined.

Made Tabsheet Generated commands are summarized on the “Made” tabsheet. After transmission of the commands, it is recommended to perform a NOT ACCEPTED check of the .LOC file to avoid loose of data (Use ToolBox | Maintenance | Find NOT ACCEPTED tool). When all commands are executed successfully, you can notify the Sent column. If Comments or Manuals are registered, the output must be checked and perhaps edited. Comments are normally PNB / SEPRM / SEEOS individuals from another device sequence, and subjects for miscalculation if conversion includes several device groups which are not consecutive. Manuals are data (E.g. BGS / BGC) which the manager is not capable to convert. All warnings must be examined.

EMG Manager To work with the EMG manager, simply open a logfile containing an ”EMGEM SOFTWARE UNIT AND EQUIPMENT DATA” printout (EXEDP response). A tree view is generated, reflecting the EMG on all levels. Expand / collapse the tree according to your preferences, either in general or per node. When a node is selected, all command buttons applicable are enabled, and pressing one of the buttons will generate a complete corresponding command in the command editor ready to transmit towards AXE. Direct transmission of a command is also possible by changing switching the Auto Send button. The communication can be watched on the build in terminal. If a command execution deletes equipment in the AXE, the corresponding node and all child nodes can be deleted either manually or automatically.

Sent commands can be recalled from the combo box attached to the command editor, using the ↑↓ keys. Print commands are subject to transmission, despite of not referring to the selected node. The parent node is used if applicable; otherwise, the ALL parameter is used. All nodes can be check marked (√), either manually or automatically, during a block / deblock process. Use the Find button to search for a node containing the entered text string.

RP - EM Manager

The RP-EM Manager works exactly like the EMG Manager (se above) apart from the reference, which is a logged ”EM DATA” printout (EXEMP response). The tree view generated, reflects the RP, EM, SNT and DEV levels.

LI-LIC manager

The LI-LIC manager is designed to serve operation - and maintenance technicians working with faulty LIB-boards, and installation test technicians working with new EMG-EM’s. In FIGARO | ToolBox, several tools are available to generate test commands (SLOCI or SLOMI) on basis of SLFAP or STBSP printouts. Sequences of unlimited length can be tested by input to SLOCI-tool, command responses can be examined and commands can be generated for repeated test of fault suspected devices. If you have a fault suspected device, you can enter the number to the edit field, and the manager will calculate it’s physical position depending of the LIC-type setting. (1 - 4 generation SDM / LSM plus 1 – 2 generation ISDN2 are supported) The calculated EM-number is valid, only if first device number of the EMG is a multiple of 2048, 1024 or 512, and the device numbers of the EM’s are consecutive. So it’s always a good idea to press the EXPOP-button to locate the magazine. Use the BLODI / BLODE-buttons to block and deblock all devices on selected board before and after replacement, and perform test of the new board by pressing the SLOCI-button. The EXSTI / EXSTE-buttons are for use when a board is appended or removed permanently, and EXDEP / STDEP-buttons are useful to watch the connection- and seizure state. The SLOMI-button performs a line measurement with program 11 as default. If you switch on the Auto Send button, commands are transmitted immediately, and otherwise commands are placed in the command editor for execution. By checking the All boxes rightmost to the command buttons, the device sequence is extended to range over all 128, 64 or 32 devices within the magazine. If you select a LIB-board by a mouse click - the first device number of the board within the current magazine range is written in the edit field. You can in this way select by position, if the device number is unknown.

Compare Manager

Use the Compare Manager to perform a comparison between two versions of a file with equal format. Load the reference file into the left field and the compare file into the right field, and press the button to initiate the comparison. The files will be compared line by line, and progress is always visible in the status field at the bottom of the form. If a mismatch occurs, progress is paused. The unequal lines are topmost in the fields, and are copied to the mismatch fields, from where they can be viewed, printed or filed. Headings are always ignored, and unequally terminated lines are modified. If a displacement occurs due to added / deleted data in one of the versions, the files can be positioned to next match by pressing the Previous Next or Find Next button. The comparison can then be resumed by pressing the button. Certain files e.g. LAEIP logfiles, can be difficult to compare, because the software units are not printed in the same order. The Compare Manager splits files into parameter columns, with sort option connected to topmost title cell, allowing you to sort both windows after e.g. SUNAME, and in that way perform a comparison. The result can be saved or printed if desired.

By calling the Ignore Substring dialog, it is possible to ignore up to three substrings. It can be necessary if you for instance want to compare

STDEP- or SUSCP-logfiles, where DEV or DETY has changed during subscriber conversion.

The position of a substring can be located using the Text Position function.

If the Mask field contains a text string, all lines including the mask will be ignored.

Se also DualSight for information about online comparison via LAN.

DualSight

DualSight is an autonomous program, which can be called either from MicroSoft® Windows® or from the FIGARO environment. The program is designed to fulfill AXE administration staff demands, concerning online AXE software comparison on block or assembler level, and to gather and compare software and hardware information from all AXE exchanges connected to your LAN. The program benefits of two equal terminals - Terminal A and Terminal B - each with own command line, TCP/IP address database and port settings, and both hooked on to the Windows® socket for fast LAN communication. A LASIP:BLOCK=ALL; response is received within 5-8 seconds.

On the Language tab sheet, you can choose between nine different languages. The choice only affects serial transmission of

national 8 bits ASCII-characters, by translating them into an unused 7 bits ASCII-character.

Select Terminal A tabsheet and enter AXE name to the AXE edit field, or pick desired AXE from the database grid and press the leftmost Connect button to ping the node. If you want to use the dual terminal feature, repeat the above procedure for Terminal B, but press the rightmost Connect button to ping. Terminal connections are shown in the upper statusbars. Now you can enter usercode, password and commands to one of four different

command lines, depending on whether the command shall be sent to one of the terminals, both terminals or all nodes specified in the Terminal A database. A node in the Terminal A database can be excluded from the "Send to All" command forwarding, by entering a "N" to the nodes All field. This is useful if you for instance use different usercodes in certain exchanges. The "Send to All" function does not work until you have entered optional usercode and password once. Press the Enter ↵ key to transmit the command. The previously sent command can be recalled using the up- and down arrow keys. Each terminal is provided with Log On, Log Off and Break buttons, to establish, release and interrupt a command session. Because the terminals are cleared prior to command transmission, the "Send to All" feature gives no meaning unless the response is logged. DualSight offers two log methods of free choice:

You can either select to log in individual files, each containing the command response for one command, or in one huge logfile containing all the command responses. Selecting the individual option, will place a number of files named

COMMAND_AXENAME.LOG in the current folder, whereas the common option will name the file COMMAND_ALL.LOG. The Log checkboxes are located under the Terminal A tabsheet and are as default unchecked. Every time you transmit a valid AXE command, the receiving terminal is cleared, making the two terminals subjects of comparison. When printouts are finished, the total number of lines and characters are shown in the lower status bars, giving you information about, whether the terminal sizes are equal or not. If you want a more closely comparison, then press the Compare button. If the terminal contents are equal, you are informed about that, otherwise the toolbar turns into a compare panel with buttons to navigate through the terminals.

Press the button to initiate the comparison. The terminals will be compared line by line. If a mismatch occurs, progress is paused. The unequal lines are highligted in the terminal windows and are copied to the Result form, from where they can be viewed, printed or saved to file. Headings are always ignored, and unequally terminated lines are trimmed.

The Mismatch dialog is shown every time a displacement or mismatch is found, with an option to Cancel the comparison. If a displacement occurs due to added or deleted data in one of the printouts, the lines can be

positioned to next match by pressing the Previous Next or Find Next Match button. The comparison can then be resumed by pressing one of the buttons. Certain printouts e.g. LAEIP responses, can be difficult to compare, because the software units are not printed in the same order. Version 1.0 of DualSight does not support terminal sorting, but the terminal contents can be saved to files, by a mouse click in the window. You can then use the FIGARO Compare Manager to split files into parameter columns, with sort option connected to topmost title cell, allowing you to sort both windows after e.g. SUNAME, and in that way perform a comparison.

By calling the Ignore Substring dialog, it is possible to ignore up to three substrings. It can be necessary if you for instance

want to compare STDEP- or SUSCP-printouts where DEV or DETY has changed during a subscriber conversion or a PCORP printout where correction sizes are unequal. The position of a substring can be located using the Text Position function. If the Mask field contains a text string, all lines including the mask will be ignored.

When the comparison is done or cancelled, the Result dialog becomes visible with valuable information to examine, file or print.

Find Empty Regional Processors

RP’s not controlling at least one EM, can cause severe fault situations during CP-side switch and function changes. It’s recommended, always to search for empty RP’s prior to such tasks. Select a logfile containing an EXRPP:RP=ALL; printout in the EXRPP-field. An outline including all RP’s is now shown with twins presented as child nodes. The EXEMP-field is now enabled, and here you have to select a logfile containing an EXEMP:RP=ALL,EM=ALL; printout. All RP’s controlling at least one EM are deleted from the outline, which now hopefully remains empty. Otherwise, you are asked if you want commands to delete the RP’s generated. In case of acceptance these are presented in the rightmost field and are subject to transmission as usual. If any manually separated RP’s (MS) are found during load of the EXRPP logfile, they are listed in the All Separated RP’s field. If a RP is in state MS during function change or test loading of backup, it will loose contact to CP-

EX, and underlying EM’s can’t handle traffic. So it’s important to make sure that all RP’s are in correct state before starting these jobs. The required logfiles can be easily generated by sending the above-mentioned commands from the command editor using > option. Output can as usual be transferred to the Transmit Manager, Command Manager, Parameter Manager or an editor.

PCORP Manager

The PCORP manager traverses a PCORP:BLOCK=ALL; logfile for corrections not confirmed. Using the Open button, you can select the desired logfile from the File Manager and watch the progress in the window and the result on the status line in the bottom of the manager. The window contents can be printed on the MS-Windows® standard printer. To compare two versions of PCORP logfiles, use the Compare Manager. Se also DualSight for information about comparison of corrections on assembler or block level.

RP-EM Address Manager Easy and simple calculation of RP-address plug number, RP-bus interface number, EM- address plug number /switch positions.

ToolBox

The ToolBox consists of five tabsheets. Input-, Tools- and Output tabsheets are always visible. The two remaining tabsheets holds contents of optional input- and output files. The Input tabsheet holds various strings, values, and settings concerning your current AXE / EMG. You can enter values to the fields, for use with the various tools. Field contents can be saved to a .INP file for later use and of cause retrieved, using the Load and Save option.

The 80+ tools are available from the Tools tabsheet. Click on the tool you want to use. Press the Help button to get online help for the selected tool. The required input fields - if any - are now visible in the Mandatory Input Box, and these are mirrors of the values from the Input tabsheet. If a logfile is needed for input, both the command to generate the

logfile and a suggested filename is ready to use. If the logfile exists, it is loaded into an input file viewer, where you can watch and edit the contents prior to execution of the tool. If the tool generates one or two outputfiles, they are prenamed too. When you send the predefined print command with the autolog character added (> after a command), a logfile will be generated in the ToolBox Folder with the suggested logfile name, and is ready for use when you return to the ToolBox. If a logfile with a predefined name does not exist , you can browse for it. A green check icon tells, if filenames and input values are valid. Certain tools opens it’s own dialog for customization of output. All output generated, is saved in files with the Suggested Initiate / End names, and appended the Output tabsheet list, from where it can be transmitted, edited or transferred to other managers for modification. If more than one output file is selected (checked),

the transfer is restricted to editor windows, because only one manager at a time can be open. You can also examine the command files prior to transmission from the build in file viewer by pressing the View button.

Count the Tabulator position and Parameter length in FIGARO's editor, where the character offset is available from the statusbar. Select your logfile from the Input field, and Command and Parameter values. (only one parameter is mandatory) Press the Ok button, and watch the result. Depending on the printout type, a little modification can be required, but the editors compress and replace options can possibly help.
