INSPECTION REPORT OF EXECUTIVE ENGINEER (RD) DINDIGUL ON THE WORKS INSPECTED ON VEDASANDUR

1) Scheme : MLACDS 2014-2015

Name of Block : Vedasandur

Name of Panchayat : Kovilur

Name of work : Construction of Drama stage at

Ramanathapuram government

Estimate Amount : Rs.3.05 lakhs

Stage of work : White / Colour washing progress

Observation:

At the time of inspection , all item of the work completed

including pressed tiles laying work also completed.

The colour washing was about to start.

The basement height of the stage was 0.75m.

Ramp was constructed, but the hand rails were not fixed.

The flooring plastering work was not started.

Instructed the AE(RD) to complete the flooring work thenonly

colour washing work should be started.

Instructed the AE(RD), to procure the good quality of paint and

to maintain the uniform colour code.

AE(RD) was further instructed to speed up the work and

complete it in all aspects before 31.05.2015.

2) Scheme : VPSC 14-15


Name of Panchayat : Koovakkapatti

Name of work : Construction of Village Panchayat Service

centre at Koovakkapatti


Stage of work : Roof laid

Observation:

At the time of inspection the building was roof laid.

The thickness of the roof slab was measured and found as

12.50cm.

The inner measurement of the building is verified and found as

Training room 7.10m x 12.09m.

Passage room 15.81m x 2.55m.

Room for MIS 6.20m x 3.95m.

Hall for work station 6.20m x 7.91m.

Staircase area 6.20m x 3.96m.

The basement height is 1.00 m and from basement to roof

height is 3.05m.

The outer toilet work was not started and The centering was not

removed.

Instructed the AE(RD) to start the outer toilet work and to

ensure the proper curing for roof slab.

The doors and windows fixing work completed and tiles was

procured not yet laid.

There are no materials for further work, instructed the AE(RD) &

Contractor to collect the all materials immediately and to start

the toilet work.

Instructed the Assistant Engineer(RD) to construct ramp at

proper gradient as per the standard specifications of 1 in 12 ratio

of minimum length 12.00m.

Rain water harvesting structure should be constructed as per

specification .

Instructed the AE(RD) to speed up the work and complete the

work as per time schedule.

3) Name of Scheme : MGNREGS 2014-2015

Name of Block : Vedasanthoor

Name of Panchayat : Koovakkapatty

Name of work : Deepening strengthening the

Chettikulam

Estimate Amount : Rs. 7.90 lakhs

Observation:

Time of inspection 12.20 PM. Verified the NMR Nos 323080 to

323087. At the time of inspection male 22 nos, and female

114 nos, total no.of 136 nos were working on the field.

Pre marking of site has been done by Panchayat Secretary for

one week. One pit measurement for 20 workers group was

verified and found it is correct.

Top painted pegs (Timber/Steel) were used for pre marking.

All entries made in NMR form and job cards were cross verified

with workers. The details were noted below.

Pre-measurement was properly marked. It was observed that 3rd

group workers pit size was 11m x 9m x 0.90were taken 15cm

depth of earth work. Beneficiaries were instructed that 30cm

depth should be taken for full payment.

Panchayat Secretary was instructed to

All the entries in NMR and Job Card should be made

properly.

All the MGNREGS instructions should be strictly

implemented in the field.

Panchayat secretary instructed to carefully enter the

payment details at relevant box in the Job Card.

At the time of inspection sufficient medicine were not

available in First Aid Box, Panchayat Secretary was

advised to do the needful and also to provide rest

shed for children with tar palia and local available

materials.

Name of work : Providing 2 layer WBM + BT

Stage of work : BT Chips collection completed

Observation:

The actual length of the road is 2000m and width of the road is

3.75m.

At the time of inspection, The patch works were completely and

evenly.

The jungle clearance and earth work also completed entire

length of the road.

The BT chips collection completed.

Instructions given to the contractor to clean the surface with

wire brushes and apply prime coat before 24 hours of B.T laying.

Bituminous primer shall not be applied to a surface or during a

dust storm or when the weather is foggy, rainy or windy or when

the temperature in the shade is less than 100C. Surfaces which

are to receive emulsion primer should be damp, but no free or

standing water shall be present.

Instruction given to the contractor side berm work should be

done simultaneously during the time of laying BT work.

Instructions given to Assistant Engineer (RD) to start BT laying

work and complete the work as per time schedule.

5) Scheme : VPSC 14-15

Name of work : Construction of Village Panchayat Service

centre at Marambadi


Stage of work : Flooring tiles laying

Observation:

At the time of inspection, the building was at plastering

completed stage.

The basement the building was measured and found as 0.80m.

Ramp was constructed, the length of the ramp was 6.00 and

width of the ramp was 1.20m.

The toilet laying work and flooring tiles laying work progress.

The weathering course and pressed tiles laying work also

completed.

The wall tiles was laid around the toilet wall 1m height from the

floor level.

The doors and windows were fixed.

The doors edges was brokend and steps corners also brokened.

Instructed the AE(RD) to rectify the above defects before

starting the colour washing work.

Rain water harvesting structure should be constructed as per

specification.

Instructed to the AE(RD) that to speed up the laying work and to

start the color washing work immediately.

6) Scheme : Anganwadi 2014-2015

Name of work : Construction of Anganwadi building at

Marambadi


Stage of work : Lintel level

Observation:

At the time of inspection the lintel level brick work

completed.

The basement height of the building was measured and

found as 0.50m.

The inner measurement of the building was measured and

found as hall 6.00 x4.00m , kitchen 3.00 x 1.50m and store

room 3.00 x 2.38m.

Instructed the AE(RD) to start the lintel centering work

immediately.

The flooring concrete was not laid , instructed to lay the

flooring concrete, thenonly the lintel concrete should be laid.

At the procured metals for lintel concrete, some over size

metal and soft metal were found.

It should be removed from the site immediately and correct

size of metal should be collected.

AE(RD) was instructed to start the bar bending work for

lintel concrete.

Instructed to Assistant Engineer (RD) to expedite the work

and all item of works should completed up to roof laid stage

before 10.06.2015.

7) Scheme : BPRIS - 2014-2015

Observation:

This work was inspected with reference to the estimate.

The total length of the road is 1670m, the formation width of

the road is 7.00m and the carriage way width is 3.75m as per

the estimate provision.

At the time of inspection, jungle clearance and earth work for

the entire length of the road was completed.

The WBM Grade II & III metal spreading work completed.

The thickness the the Grade II and III was verified at chainage

1/210m and found as 0.15m.

Instructions given to the contractor the BT chips collection to

speed up immediately,

The side berms work has not done properly to do the side berms

works simultaneously to a width of 1.00m on both side.

Instructed the AE(RD) to expedite the work and complete the

all item of work before 10.06.2015.

8) Scheme : NABARD XX - 2014-2015

Observation:

The name board was fixed to the entrance of the road.

The KM and HM stones were fixed.

The total length of the road is 1000m, the carriage width of the

road is 3.75m.

At ch 990m, RCC slab culvert was completed.

Instructed to AE (RD) to maintain correct gauge length of 1.92m

for every stock.

The Gr.II metal sieve analysis was done at 0/710 and results are

Observation:

The work was inspected with reference to the estimate provision.

The name board was fixed and KM and HM stones were fixed.

The actual length of the road is 1000m, carriage way width

3.75m.

The jungle clearance work and earth work were completed to the

entire length of the road.

The gravel soling work completed to the entire length of the road

and thickness was verified and found as 0.15m as per estimate

provision.

The CD works are completed in chainage 0/6 km to a vent of 3m

span RCC slap culvert and and 2m span at chainage 5m.

The sieve analysis Grade III is conducted and the result is under

(chainage @ 1/135m)

Instructed to the AE(RD) that the 4% camber should be properly

maintained to the entire length of the road.

Instructed to the AE(RD) & Contractor that to start the grade II

metal collection work and to expedite the work as per time

schedule.

Name of work : Providing new Drainage in Vellampatti

Stage of work : RR Masonary progress

Observation:

The above work was inspected with reference to the estimate.

The length of the drainage was measured and found as 105m

and vent of the drainage was 0.45m.

The width of the drainage wall was 0.30m and height of the wall

was 0.60m.

Instructed the AE(RD) to do the simultaneous pointing should be

done in RR masonry.

Instructed the AE(RD), to provide the proper gradient to the

drain portion for free flow of drain water.

Instructed the AE(RD), to speed up the work and complete the

work before 31.05.2015.
