Enid Eugene Woolford nee’ Clement (Cousin Jean), wasborn in Georgetown, Guyana on Saturday 29th June 1924. Shewas the daughter of the late Marie Jeune and James Clement.She was married to the late George Woolford.

Enid was educated at Golden Grove Methodist School whereshe gained a good education. She was very bright. She alwaysfelt that she could have progressed further in her studies, but onthe death of her beloved grandmother Emma Straker Jeune, herformal education was ended prematurely. Enid was raised byher grandmother. When Enid subsequently had her ownchildren, she endeavored to make it possible that each of themhad a good educational background. She encouraged them towork hard, and aim high in order to achieve their full potential.

Enid was an industrious and independent woman “hard work”was her middle name. She had numerous jobs to support herfamily, and still finding the time and energy to sell shave-iceevery day outside the school, and black pudding at Four Corneron Saturdays. Also, she would sell at ball field during cricketmatches, and at school sports. She could turn her hand toanything, even making a kitchen bench. The list of things shedid is endless, and her tenacity and appetite for work was trulyadmired by her peers.

Enid was a member of the Golden Grove Methodist Church andWomen’s League, where she attended church regularly.

Enid mothered twelve children, she leaves to mourn, Earla,Felix (Charles), Leroy, Leslyn (Pam), Tessa (Bernadette)Wayne, Colin, John and Brenda (Collette). She has gone to bereunited with her three deceased children, Winston, Barbara andCliff;

After a brief illness Enid passed away in hospital on Tuesday 7th
