WEEK ONE

Monday 18th December Sky zone (Excursion)

Today we are jumping into Christmas with a visit to Sky Zone in Alexandria. With more than 117 interconnected trampolines that let you literally bounce off the walls, we will enjoy time on the trampolines, pit and climbing wall. Each child will be supplied with a pair of sky zone socks to take home. When we return we will have fun with a blow art canvas and relax watching the movie ‘The boss baby’. NB: A waiver is needed for this excursion.

Tuesday 19th December Christmas Craft and clay (incursion)

Today we will be Christmas craft crazy! Local artist Donna Gilbertson will be joining us for a

stunning Christmas clay workshop! The children will make a 3D clay Christmas tree complete with a

Christmas light ready to take home for Christmas day. We will also make our own snow globes,

Christmas cards, calendars, and decorations.

Wednesday 20th December Paddington bear 2 (Excursion)

Today we will visit Hoyts in Warringah mall to watch the movie Paddington Bear 2. When we return we will make marmalade thumb print cookies, bear yarn wrapped Christmas decorations and play group games. Note: Everyone will be provided with popcorn, however, children may bring their own money to purchase something at the candy bar.

Thursday 21st December BPOOSH Fun day (in centre)

Today we will be designing our very own wardrobe. We will make library bags, caps and tie dying t-shirts. We will also be making our cake pops and be joined by a jumping castle. We will finish the day with a Christmas movie. LUNCH BOX FREE DAY.

Friday 22nd December Code to Save Christmas morning (incursion)

Today we will be joined by the team from Super Cody to code an exciting Christmas game to save Christmas! We will program flying drones with shooting cannons and robots from iPads. We will finish the day with a save Christmas treasure hunt and the chocolate game.

WEEK TWO

Our new kindies are welcome to join us from Wednesday 3rd of January.

Wednesday 3rd January Dr Seuss day (in centre)

Today, we will celebrate everything weird and wonderful with our Dr Seuss day. We will make our very own cat in the hat hats, create green eggs and ham, make our very own blow art Dr Seuss characters, and create thing 1 and thing 2 masks. We will spend the afternoon playing ball games outside, and then relax with the movie: Cat in the hat.

Thursday 4th January Beach day (Excursion)

Today, we will be going on an excursion to Rosherville Reserve and Chinamens Beach. We will walk down and have our morning tea and recess at Rosherville Reserve. We will play with bubbles, collect shells and play games with a giant beach ball, we will also have a Sand Castle Competition. Children will be allowed to walk up to their knees in the water, so please pack a towel and spare clothes in-case. LUNCH BOX FREE DAY.

Friday 5th January Gymnastics day clay (incursion)

Today, the fabulous Katie from Sydney Trapeze School will join us for a day of gymnastic fun. She will be teaching us partner acro, basic tumbling skills, gymnastic stunts and teach us some circus tricks! We will be making chalk gymnastic photos, make ribbon wands and bake power balls. We will be finishing the day with a water fight!

WEEK THREE

Monday 8th January Eco Warriors (in centre)

Today we will be OOSH eco Warriors! We will be making and designing our own sustainable water bottles and lunch boxes, waxing our own bees wax wraps and creating art work and structures with recycled materials. We go on walk to clean up our local area and plant a new veggie patch. We will finish the day the movie the Lorax.

Tuesday 9th January Luna Park (Excursion)

Today we will be enjoying a ferry ride to and from Luna Park! We will have 2 and a half hours of unlimited play. Our older children will have access to unlimited rides, and our younger children will be visiting Mini Luna Park designed for little people. When we return to OOSH, we will make Ferris Wheel scrolls, and chill with a movie.

Wednesday 10th January Bricks 4 Kids clay (incursion)

Today we will be joined by ‘Bricks 4 Kids’ and have an entire day of Lego! We will make Lego friends sets, make Lego brick cakes, and will have Lego themed ‘minute to win it’. We will have new Star Wars Lego and Lego Friends. We will finish the day watching: ‘Lego vs. Batman.’

Thursday 11th January Centennial Parklands Wild Water Play (excursion)

Today we will be visiting Centennial parklands for a fun water play day. We will be playing water games, pond dipping and making water proof cubby houses. We will then spend the afternoon in the wild play gardens, exploring the tree houses, rolling down hills and crawling through tunnels. When we return we will make a nature collage and giant cubby house.

Friday 12th January Let’s make a movie! (incursion)

Today we will be joined by the team from ‘Let’s make a movie’! They will help build confidence and inspire creativity by introducing the children to the world of TV magic. The children will perform in front of a green screen and pre-recorded backgrounds will be superimposed. The children will then have an opportunity to show their videos in front of their friends! Afterwards, we will make microphone marshmallow cones, and play outdoor games.

WEEK FOUR

Monday 15th January Ferdinand the movie at Hoyts Warringah Mall (Excursion)

Today we will visit Hoyts in Warringah Mall to watch the movie ’Ferdinand’. We will have a Ferdinand colouring competition, play with new board games, enjoy a game of survival tag outdoors, and make our very own fruit ice blocks. Note: Everyone will be provided with popcorn, however, children may bring their own money to purchase something at the candy bar.

Tuesday 16th January Senior: Horse riding (Excursion) Junior: Plaster day (in centre)

AGE 7 and OVER today we will be visiting Sydney Trail centre to visit their talented movie star horses. We will see a shores trick show, learn how to look after the horses and have a trail ride around through the bush. When we return, we will relax with the movie ‘Racing Stripes’ NB: A waiver is needed for this excursion.

Under age 7: Our younger children will stay in centre today and enjoy a plaster painting extravaganza. Each child will get to choose and paint their own design to take home. We will have lots of free play in our centre with play dough, parachute games and decorating our own cupcakes.

Wednesday 17th January Brainiac’s Live at the Sydney Opera House (Excursion)

Today we will be visiting the iconic Sydney Opera House to see the multi-award-winning TV show, ‘Brainiac Live’. Join the Brainiac’s for an action-packed show of incredible experiments and explosive high energy entertainment. Afterwards we will have a picnic lunch and explore the Botanical Gardens. When we return we be recreating science experiments back in OOSH.

Thursday 18th January Emoji day (in centre) .

Children’s choice: Today we will be enjoying all things Emoji! We will make emoji balls; emoji cake pops and keyrings! We will have a game of emoji balloon volleyball and emoji bingo. We

will make our very own yellow slime and finish the day with the Emoji movie 😊

Friday 19th January Junior: Make studio (Excursion)

Senior: Middle harbour sailing (Excursion)

Today our juniors (Kindy-year3) will be visiting Make Studio in Fairlight to have an awesome morning of art! We will get creative and messy, and bring home our creations at the end of the day!

Our seniors (Years 4+) will take to Middle Harbour for a sailing excursion! When we return to OOSH, we will bake coconut stars and play group games outside. NB: A waiver is needed for this excursion.

WEEK FIVE

Monday 22nd January Australian Reptile Park (Excursion)

Today we will be visiting the Australian Reptile Park on the Central Coast! We will be hand feeding kangaroos, meeting Hugo the giant Galapagos tortoise, watching Elvis the crankiest croc in NSW in the special croc show and meeting the baby dingo puppies. NB: We will be taking a seat belted, air-conditioned coach to the park.

Tuesday 23rd January Australian bush tucker cooking clay (incursion)

Today we will be joined by Koori connections for a fun filled day learning about Australia's First People, their culture, heritage, and their food. We will be making kangaroo meatballs and Dampier Bread for afternoon tea. We will be creating multicultural art, enjoying a native feast, and enjoy a good game of cricket.

Wednesday 24th January Senior: SUP (Excursion)

Junior: Wannabees playland (Excursion)

Seniors (Year 4 up) will be going to Manly for a day of Stand-up paddle boarding. They will learn water safety and balance on their Stand-up Paddle boards and finish the session with a game of SUP Ball. NB: A waiver is needed for this excursion.

Juniors (Years Kindy-3) will be going to Wannabees play centre in Hornsby. The children will be enjoying playing in a miniature real world. They can be a TV star, firefighter, radio presenter and much more.

Thursday 25th January End of holiday party: Photo booth! (in centre)

Today we will be going out with a bang at our end of term party. We will be joined by our very own OOSH photo booth, where we can have photographs with our friends to take home. We will have a slushy machine, karaoke, and juke box. We will make our own party food and have a disco. Outside we will bounce on a jumping castle and have water play.
