STEP 2- Sending the Video Signal

Depending on your laptop model, your combination of buttons may be slightlydifferent. However, it's pretty easy to figure out which button to press.

FIRST

Press down and hold the fn key at the bottom left of your keyboard.

SECOND

While holding down the fn key, pressthe monitor key. On this laptop, itcorresponds with the f4 key.

The monitor icon is in blue below thef4 and is a rectangle that looks like a TV or computer monitor.

You may have to press the f4 key a couple of times to get the screen to project on both the laptop and the screen.

NOTE: On some laptops, it is the f7 key.
