The Replicator is a multi-point inoculating system designed to inoculate up to 36 isolates simultaneously onto the surface of a plated medium. The Replicatorconsists of an inoculating base with a swing arm assembly to transfer test organisms from a seeding tray to the Replicate surface. The inoculating head assemblyfits into the swing arm of the Replicator body. In this position, the 37 pins on the inoculating head are aligned to correspond to the holes in the seeding tray. The Oxoid Listeria Rapid Test enables food manufacturers to detect thepresence of Listeria organisms in their products or processing equipment inless than half the time taken by traditional methods.

The test protocol has been developed to coincide conveniently with theworking hours of the laboratory, providing a clear result two days after thesample has been received.

Enrichment Broth System

Culture of the test sample is in two sequential enrichments, taking 42 hours.Any Listeria organisms present in the food or environmental sample areselectively enriched using growth conditions which are optimal for flagellaexpression.

Antigen Extraction

The second enrichment medium is heated at 80°C for 20 minutes to extractthe flagella antigen.

Listeria Device

The Listeria Device contains specific monoclonal antibodies to the B flagellaantigen that is common in many Listeria species.

The extracted antigen is added onto a pad in the Sample window. Thiscontains blue latex labelled with antibody. The extract rehydrates the complexand the specific antigen reacts, if present, with the antibody.

The complex moves through the pad by capillary action to a test strip. Afurther reaction between antigen/latex complex and the fixed antibody resultsin a blue line in the Result window.

The device also provides an integral Control window.

The Oxoid Salmonella Rapid Test is for the presumptive detection of motilesalmonellae in raw food materials, finished food products and factoryenvironmental samples.

Traditional methods generally take between 3 and 5 days compared to theOxoid Salmonella Rapid Test which provides results within 42 hours. Inextensive trials the test has proved accurate, reliable and easy to use acrossa wide range of foodstuffs.

Salmonella Rapid Test Elective Medium (SRTEM-CM857)

A selective enrichment broth medium specifically formulated for use withOxoid Salmonella Rapid Test. When made up according to directions, thedouble strength broth is ready for immediate use.

Salmonella Rapid Test (FT201)

The Salmonella Rapid Test comprises a unique culture vessel housing twotubes, each tube contains a lower selective medium and an upper indicatormedium.

Tube A contains modified Rappaport-Vassiliadis and Lysine Iron CystineNeutral Red, whilst Tube B contains Lysine Iron Desoxycholate and modifiedBrilliant Green.

Once the culture vessel is prepared (and addition of SRTEM) by rehydrationof the media, an aliquot of sample is added. Any motile salmonellae presentwill migrate actively through the tubes where their presence will be indicatedby color changes in the upper indicator media.

Salmonella Latex (FT203)

A latex agglutination test for the presumptive identification of salmonellaeisolated by the Oxoid Salmonella Rapid Test. A wide range of Salmonellaflagellae antibodies have been purified and used to sensitise latex particles.When a loopful of material from the Salmonella Rapid Test tube is mixed witha drop of latex reagent, agglutination occurs if salmonellae are present.

Drag Swab kits are sterile devices used to sample poultry litter for pathogenicorganisms, e.g. Salmonella. Each pocket-size kit contains a 30 ml-polyproplyene vialwhich encloses a sterile 4-ply 3"x3" cotton gauze swab (pre-moistened with doublestrength skim milk) attached to a cord about six feet in length. Also included for yourconvenience are a pair of plastic gloves, a label and a plastic biohazard transportbag. Specimens are collected by attaching the free end of the string to an article ofclothing, dragging the swab through the litter and then placing the gauze and stringinto the biohazard bag for transport to a laboratory. deemed necessary by us. The Seller reserves the right to increase the price fromthat advised in the acknowledgment of the order, if such increase is due toincreased cost of raw materials, labour or transport or any change in government,regulations, or any other cause beyond the Seller's control.

ii) Any cost incurred on account of delays, interruptions or suspension of work dueto the Buyer's instructions or lack of instructions shall be added to the price.

4. DELIVERYDelivery shall be deemed to be effected:—i) Save as provided in sub-clause (ii) below when the goods have been collected

from the Seller's works or have remained uncollected for a period of seven daysafter the agreed date of collection, or

ii) Subject to prior written agreement by the Seller when:—a) Goods have been delivered at the address agreed between the Seller and the

Buyer orb) Goods, whether f.o.b. or c.i.f. have been delivered to dock side for loading on

vessel.and in the event of such prior written agreement:—

iii) Freight and insurance charges shall be based on the rates obtainable at the dateof quotation. If these rates are increased or decreased after such date the pricewill be increased or decreased by the net amount of the increase or decrease insuch charges.

iv) Lighterage, landing charges, dock, wharf or customs dues, taxes or other chargeslevied at the port of loading or unloading or in the country through which the goodsare imported are not included in any quotation and any such charges shall be tothe Buyer's account.

5. FAILURE TO MAKE OR TAKE DELIVERYi) Dates given for despatch and/or delivery are given in good faith and the Seller will

use best endeavours to despatch or deliver on such dates.ii) The Seller shall not be liable for late despatch or delivery howsoever caused, nor

shall such failure to despatch be deemed to be in breach of contract.iii) If the Buyer of his consignee fail to take delivery of the goods or any part thereof

on the dates and at the places agreed then the Seller will be entitled to cancel suchdelivery and all other outstanding deliveries and to charge the Buyer with any losssuffered.

6. NOTIFICATION OF DAMAGE OR LOSSi) All claims for damage to or partial loss of goods in transit shall be submitted in

writing to both the carrier and the Seller within five days of delivery.ii) All claims for non-delivery of the whole or any part of any consignment must be

submitted in writing to the carrier and to the Seller within ten days of the Seller'sinvoice or advice note in the case of deliveries in Canada and within 28 days in thecase of deliveries outside Canada or such longer period as may be agreed in writingbetween the parties.

iii) The Seller shall not be liable for loss or damage to the goods after delivery. In theabsence of notification of claims within the times mentioned above the goods shallbe deemed to have been delivered in accordance with the contract.

7. PACKAGESContainers in which the goods are delivered are non-returnable unless otherwisedescribed. Containers which are advised as returnable will be charged by the Sellerbut will be credited in full if returned to Seller carriage paid in good condition within60 days of delivery.

8. DESCRIPTION AND WARRANTIESi) The description of the goods specified by the Seller shall be the basis of each

invoice.ii) In the event of a claim by a Buyer that the description cannot be agreed or the

goods are otherwise defective through faulty materials or workmanship by theSeller then the Seller must be notified in writing.

iii) No such claim as is mentioned in (ii) will be accepted unless and until the Sellerhas had reasonable opportunity to satisfy itself that the Buyer's claim is proved tothe Seller's satisfaction.

iv) The Seller warrants that the goods delivered to the Buyer shall be of merchantablequality and shall comply with the description referred to in the contract. The Seller'sliability hereunder is limited to the price of the goods proved to be defective andfor this purpose the price shall be deemed to be the invoice price of the goods.

The Seller shall be entitled to replace such goods upon the terms hereof insettlement of its liability.

v) All recommendations and advice given by Seller, its servants or agents to the Buyeras to the mode of using the goods are given without liability on the part of theSeller and no responsibility will be accepted by the Seller for any injury, loss ordamage whatsoever or howsoever arising directly or indirectly from use of thegoods.

vi) Save as herein expressly provided the Seller accepts no liability on behalf of itself,its servants or agents for any loss, damage, costs or compensation howsoevercaused which the Buyer may suffer or for which the Buyer may become liablearising out of or in connection with or as a result of the supply of goods by theSeller.

9. RETURNS OF GOODS SUPPLIEDNo goods may be returned without the Seller's consent being given in writing.

10. FORCE MAJEUREIf by reason of fire, accidents, war, strikes, lockouts, riots, civil commotion, Govern-ment prohibition or restriction or any other cause (whether or not of the same natureas the foregoing) beyond the control of either of the parties the Seller is preventedfrom or delayed or hindered in effecting despatch or making delivery of the goods orany part thereof at the times or places stated for delivery then a reasonable extensionof time shall be granted. In any event the Seller shall not be liable in any way for lossor damage arising directly or indirectly through or in consequence of any such eventsor happenings.

11. TERMSi) Terms of payment for deliveries to US customers are net cash within

30 days of the date of invoice.ii) Terms for deliveries to customers outside the USA are:—

a) Cash against delivery of shipping documents, orb) Shipment against Irrevocable Letter of Credit, orc) Bill of Exchange accepted by approved customersAll payments are due in US dollars.

iii) The right is reserved (without prejudice to any other remedy) to cancel anyuncompleted order or to suspend delivery in the event of any of the Buyer'scommitments not being met, or if the Seller is of the opinion that the Buyer is notin a position to meet such commitments.

iv) The Seller reserves the right to levy an interest charge of 2% per month for anyaccount remaining unpaid after 15 days from date payment is due hereunder.

12. DEFAULTShould default be made by the Buyer in paying any sum due under any contract asand when it becomes due or if the Buyer should commit an act of bankruptcy or enterinto liquidation or if a Receiver of the Buyer's assets be appointed or an arrangementor composition be made with creditors then Seller may at its sole discretion withoutnotice in writing suspend or terminate any contract then in being so far as any furthergoods remain to be delivered without prejudice to any claim or right the Seller mayotherwise make or exercise.

13. PATENTSi) In the event of any claim being made against the Buyer in respect of infringement

of alleged infringement of Letters Patent Registered Design or similar right relatingto the Seller's goods supplied to the Buyer then the Buyer shall notify the Sellerimmediately and the Seller shall be at liberty with the Buyer's assistance, ifrequired, but at the Seller's expense to conduct all negotiations in the Buyer's namefor the settlement of the same or any litigation which may arise therefrom. Subjectto such notification and provided that no such goods or any part thereof shall beused for any purpose other than that for which the Seller shall supply them theSeller will indemnify the Buyer in respect of any sum the Buyer may be lawfullyrequired to pay or pay with the Seller's consent any such claimant but the indemnityshall not extend as to entitle the Buyer to recover from the Seller any sum exceedingthe total contract price.

ii) Where goods are at the Buyer's request made and supplied by the Seller other thanto the Seller's own specification the Seller accepts no liability for infringement oralleged infringement of any Letters Patent Registered Design or similar right inrespect thereof and the Buyer will indemnify the Seller against any such claims.

iii) So far as concerns goods supplied other than of the Seller's own manufacture theBuyer will be entitled only to such indemnity in respect of infringement or allegedinfringement of Letters Patent Registered Design or similar right as the Seller mayobtain from the Seller's supplier and provided that the Seller is not called upon tobear any liability or expense greater than the amount recovered from the Seller'sSupplier.

14. GOVERNING LAWThe interpretation and purpose of any contract and of these conditions will begoverned by the laws of the state of New York.

15. EXTRA SHIPPING COSTSExtra shipping costs incurred due to Transport regulations will be added to our invoice.
