11997 The birth of Gold Canyon®! Karen and Curt find their destiny when they succeed in making the perfect candle so Karen can begin staying home with their kids. The first fragrance to meet their standard was Fresh Orange and it’s still available today!

2000 Our beloved Heritage Candles debut their signature diamond-cut glass design making scent stylish. The classic design gets an upgrade in 2012 to the brilliance and sparkle of Diamond-Light™ making the perfect candle the most beautiful, too.

2006How do you earn the title of “The World’s Finest”®? You offer your product to more of the world, of course! That’s why in 2006 we expanded into the Great White North offering Canadians a chance to own the world’s most fragrant candles and be a part of a growing business opportunity. 2007Having already perfected the candle, Gold Canyon was looking for the next big thing. With the invention of Scent Pods, we found Pod perfection in 2007 and patented it so customers would always have A Happy Fragrance Experience™.

2013Gold Canyon proudly launches its most requested product ever—electric scent! Known as Scentric, our electric scent sets a new standard for ‘round-the-clock scent with subtle fragrance and Diamond-Light detail.

2014 Ready for a fresh, new look, Gold Canyon gets a “Dotty” makeover! Why polka dots? They’re undeniably fun—just like our candles! And it doesn’t get more fun than Lumies. We add Scent-Select™ to the Lumie lineup, so custom candles are as easy as selecting a scent and picking a print.

1. SEERSUCKER Originally a blue collar fabric, seersucker was elevated to high style by Ivy Leaguers. America’s elite quickly followed their lead popularizing the seersucker suit.

2. RETRO What goes around comes around, whether it’s in life or in fashion. A little bit retro with a nod to the mod is the perfect way to honor our fashion history.

3. DOTTY

When a photo of Miss America was published in 1926, it was more than her swimsuit that caused a stir! The now iconic polka dot two-piece set the stage for dotty fashion.

4. NAUTICAL STRIPE

Everyone knows France is a fashion capital, but surprisingly, it was the French Navy that inspired Ms. Coco Chanel to introduce her nautical collection in 1917 making stripes high fashion.

5. DIAMOND

The harlequin pattern, named after the jokesters who once wore it, was finally taken seriously in the 1940s when fashion designer Adele Simpson used it in her town suits.

6. TRELLIS

Wallpaper is making a comeback! In part, that’s due to the geometric pattern trend ignited by interior designer Kelly Wearstler with her now famous Imperial Trellis pattern.

7. CHEVRON

Chevron dates back centuries, but it exploded onto the fashion scene in the 1970s. Italian design house Missoni added brilliant color and suddenly zigzags were totally in vogue.

8. SPRING PLAID You can thank England’s Queen Victoria for making plaid posh. When she wore Scottish tartans in brighter colors, others did, too. Like people today mimic Kate Middleton’s style, Queen Victoria was a fashion icon in her time.

9. BOHO In ancient Persia they called it “cyma reversa”. Later, the French dubbed it “flamboyant” and the English, “decorated”. Now, we call it ogee. But what’s in a name? That which we call ogee by any other name would still be just as fashionable.

10. HERRINGBONE Is making herringbone a crime? An Act of Parliament states tweed cannot be made anywhere in the United Kingdom other than where it originated: the islands off the coast of northern Scotland.
