U.S. Navy Fleet Bands Flute and Piccolo Audition: The audition will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017, beginning at 9:00 a.m., at the Navy Mid-South Conference Center, 5700 Attu St, Millington, TN, 38053. Registration will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. but applicants are urged to check in by 9:00 a.m. Flutists will be heard in the order in which they arrive and register. Applicants will be placed on the audition list upon receipt of a current resume and applicant fact sheet. The audition committee reserves the right to dismiss any candidate not meeting the highest professional standards. Flutists auditioning for U.S. Navy Fleet Bands must perform on flute and piccolo. The audition will consist of the following: FLUTE SOLO: Mozart, Flute Concerto in G, 1 st mvt – Exposition only (applicant must provide their own copy) FLUTE EXCERPTS: 1.
