WHAT IS HIPSTER?The hipster is a subculture associated with independent music.

Characterized by sensibility away from the predominant cultural currents.

WHO ARE HIPSTERS?Is a homogeneous group formed by youngsters with big differences between because they want to be different from the common.

ORIGINAppeared in the mid-twentieth century but disappeared and in 1950 reappeared. It has been in beginning of the decade 2010 when it was popularized.

CLOTHINGHis clothes does not follow specific patterns, but is distinguished wearing a personal style, as in “old-school”, far from fashion of the moment. Often reuse old presses and accessories, with vintage aesthetics. They like the

glasses and handmade

accessories.

MUSICThey like indie music, indie-rock, jazz music but they like other types of music and unfamiliar music bands.

HOBBIESThey like to going to the cinema but they prefer independent kind.

Much of the hipsters are lovers of photography, vintage fashion, the original kitchen and are regulars at trips, visiting museums and share

experiences through

social networks.

IDEOLOGY AND VIOLENT TENDENCIES

The hipster culture doesn’t have any violent tendencies. Their ideology is progressive and they value especially the independent thought. They use social media to share their ideas.
