University Credit Program (UCP)
The University Credit Program (UCP) gives students who have an advanced understanding of English the opportunity to experience UCR Extension, undergraduate and graduate courses with American students, without having to formally apply to the University of California, Riverside.
Students enrolled in the UCP program have the option to study individual classes or a full certificate program.
UCP for Visiting Students
• Allows study at American student rates
• $5,800 per quarter for 12 units ($350 per additional unit)
• Full transfer credit back to home university
• Choose graduate and undergraduate courses within academic area of study
• Support from college counselor but students do not have first choice of courses.
• Full access to transferrable professional Extension courses
• Option to earn UC Certificate

UCP Admission Requirements:
• Minimum TOEFL score of 550 PBT, iBT 80,
IELTS 6.5 or equivalent (DAAD B2)
• Demonstration of strong academic record
• Recommendation from home school
suggested
• Requires an F-1 visa.
• Requirements to apply:
• Valid passport
• 11,300$ bank letter
• English level
Students may request an official UCR Extension
transcript (includes grades and numbers of credits
transferrable to the student’s home institution).
