CHOICE AND FLEXIBILITY• Four year Honours Degree in Scotland; however, three year advanced entry available to A Level students
• MA & BSc students study their chosen degree subject e.g. Psychology, and up to four other subjects in each of their first two years
• Try out new subjects and tailor their degree to suit their needs and interests
• Flexible system allows students to change degree intention up to the end of second year, in consultation with their Adviser of Studies
• Professional qualifications e.g. Law, Teaching, do not offer the same flexibility
FINANCE
• Standard tuition fees for UK students studying in Scotland is £1,820 per year for all degree courses, with the exception of Medicine where the fee is £2,895 per year.

STUDY ABROAD
Sixth Century Courses are specially-designed:
‘to consider and contrast different approaches to knowledge and different methods of enquiry and, normally, examining real world problems’ and ‘to show how different disciplines work, to introduce and compare the fundamental perspectives of a number of disciplines and, normally, apply these to real world issues and problems.’
For 2010, there are 11 courses (most in both half sessions):

EMPLOYMENT PROSPECTS
• Sustained Study Programmes enable a student to undertake intensive study for two years in a subject which is not part of their core degree programme.
• Some are entirely new; some are built from existing courses. There are 13 SSPs:
• Six modern languages (French, Gaelic, German, Spanish, Arabic, Mandarin Chinese) • Business; Computing • Biblical languages; Latin; The Classical Tradition • Fit for Life • Conservation and the Environment
