She was someone’s daughter, sister, wife, and mom.

Sharon loved life……
• But she failed to remember breast cancer occurs more frequently in white women than any other group. ESPECIALLY when there is a family history of breast cancer! Sharon’s mom and aunt died from breast cancer also!

WARNING SIGNS!!!!!
• Lumps, hard knots, or thickening inside the breast or underarm area
• Swelling, warmth, redness, or darkening of the breast
• Change in the breast size or shape of the breast

Sharon could have taken steps to prevent her death……………
• Women between the ages of 20 and 40 should have breast exams performed by a physician every 3 years
• Annual mammograms for women over 40 or women who are at high risk for breast cancer

If Sharon had obtained the proper exams and medical treatment…..
She might have been around to see her little Katie grow up and become a doctor.
